How can you be sure to get a strangulate off?

Atm i have made it so my 4 dks have included in their first howlingblast attack to also pop strang on arena 1-4. Since i have Howling on my second attack in the priority list, all strangs (depending on if im in los of all) go off after around 4 seconds engage timer, ussualy manage to time this with pops, which opens up for good preasure.

I have a few different setups. One is use like your opener. I do those against caster heavy teams. I also have a click bar with 1 button for each dk. When I click the specific button it spams strangulate for one dk and the others keep attacking like normal. If find that the only sure fire way to get a strangulate off when I need it and not over a 4-5 second period of time. It just takes quite a bit more micro management of cooldowns to make sure I hit the right button.

if you want to monitor whether the target is strangulated, you can use powa addon, I have same problem before I use it. It really help me a lot.

Yes I have the same problem. It seems when dpsing I have to slow or stop to get an instant interrupt to go off. If I see a healer casting and I want to interrupt it with a strangulate it only works like 50% of the time at best. However, arcane torrent because it is instant and off the GBC it works like 90% of the time.

We need to work on a isboxer way to handle this issue. I think if this worked flawlessly I would lose those crucial arena battles.

If you absolutely want something to fire, IS Boxer is extremely powerful (read flexible) in what you can do.

You have four DK's.
So make a new mapped key, with eight steps.
Each of the DK's will have two steps that affect them, while the other six aren't targeted at them in any way.

Do something like...
Execute a Step on Press and Release, Hold Keystroke while the key is held.

Step 1
Disables the DPS Mapped Keys that you are spamming, for this DK only.
Sends Target Focus (if you've set the DK to Strangulate someone other than the kill target) to this DK only.

Step 2
Sends IWT to this DK only.
Sends keybind for the Strangulate to this DK only.
Reactivates the DPS Mapped Keys that we previously disabled.

Something along those lines...

Step 3 & 4.
As per Step 1 and 2, except for the 2nd DK only.



In practice, you push the Strangulate hotkey -- the 8 Step mapped key (which could be a button on the mouse, or anything else that is easy to reach while still spamming your DPS key with the other hand).
Hold this for a second or so, so you're sure the DK who Strangulates next is no longer spamming other crap.

Release the button/key, which has them do their Bloodtap/Strangulate (might need Bloodtap on the previous step, just have it after the DPS-Spam is disabled), and after that command is given reactivate the spam mapped key.
