    in the interim, perhaps you should just add the key press to your regular key rotation.. this way it always gets pressed.. even if its on GCD. So long as you are dpsing, and pressing keys in combat.

    I did a successful 100% dot uptime with the following:

    Hotkey X-PRO35
    Hold any Keystroke... Off
    Execute a step when... pressed or released

    Advanced:
    Reset to Step 1 after 42s from the first Hotkey press
    This is what's new 42s = 2*dot duration

    Created Step 1:
    Keystroke action -> 4 (my affliction bind) -> self
    Do not advance to the next step -> Checked
    ...for at least -> Checked
    21s
    and only trigger once -> Checked

    Created Step 2:
    Keystroke action -> 4 (my affliction bind) -> self
    Do not advance to the next step -> Checked
    ...for at least -> Checked
    21s
    and only trigger once -> Checked

    Going to try integrate it in the big picture DPS key.

    As soon as I integrate even one simple key on the cycle I no longer achieve 100% uptime with the dot.

    So if anyone has a way of doing the following, I'd be most thankful:

    I want to spam in one key the following:
    Affliction (Bind 4) every 21s
    Shock (Bind 1) whenever's up
    Force lightning (Bind 2) whenever's up
    Crushing Darkness (Bind 3) whenever's up
    Lightning Strike (Bind 5) every 6s

    Of course I'm currently able to do shock, force lightning ans crushing darkness as desired. The issue is only with the timed spells.

    Thank you,
    A.

    Altsoba:
    I'm completely new to this myself (only have very limited experience boxing WoW in the past), so I may be talking out of my ass here.
    But if it's only one dot you need 100% uptime with, why not just put the dot in a step of its own in the dps key rather than the ability key?
    Step 1 dot, step 2 all your dps abilities you want to use and put a delay on step 2 to not pass back to 1 for 21s. This will ensure that every 21s your dot gets casted.
    Because while you have it in the same step as your other abilities, the delay in the ability key itself doesn't matter since at exactly every 21s you might fire off Shock instead for example, thus causing the delay and loss of uptime.

    Thanks a lot that inspired me and here's what I did, working 100% fine:

    Below, is the example for a sorcerer dps single target cycle. I did another for multi target and also single target tank and multi target tank.

    Mapped Key DPS SINGLE TARGET:
    Hold any Keystroke... --> Default (Off)
    Execute a Step... --> pressed OR released

    Advanced:
    Reset to Step 1 after 240s from the first Hotkey press

    Step 1:
    Affliction -> all other

    Step 2:
    Shock -> all other
    Do not advance to the next step ...for at least 1.5s

    Step 3:
    Force Lightning -> all other
    Do not advance to the next step ...for at least 7.5s (enough time for two so hopefully it procs for insta spell)

    Step 4:
    Shock -> all other (Shock is up again and is great DPS with the possible proc)
    Do not advance to the next step ...for at least 1.5s

    Step 5:
    Crushing Darkness -> all other
    Do not advance to the next step ...for at least 1.5s (it has a cast time but most of the time is instant due to FL proc)

    Step 6:
    Force Lightning -> all other
    Do not advance to the next step ...for at least 4.5s

    Step 7:
    Shock -> all other
    Do not advance to the next step ...for at least 1.5s

    I've tested it in a Flashpoint and I'm quite happy with it.
    The whole cycle last about 18s+1 GCD which is really close to the 21s uptime of Affliction.
    I'll tune up yet, as well as adjust to Alacrity as it goes up but it's a method I like that somehwhat replicates the castsequence we're used to.

    It might even be a method of doing things already posted before and for that I apologize but I never understood it this way untill now.

    On my DPS key I call the Assist, Trinkets, Temp Buffs (etc...), DPS and Tank Key Maps and that's how I organized it.

    Thank you again to all of you.
    Follow fixed, got my "macros" I'm a happy panda (pun intended )

    Great job! you got it exactly right. Be sure to edit your above post and include the "use this step once" or "pass" checkbox, as to not confuse anyone copying your setup.

    Nice rotation btw.

    I have a hybrid lightning madness spec for my SI. The only spells I use playing solo are death field when ever its up, affliction, spam lightning barrage. When you get an instant cast proc I use crushing darkness and when thats on cooldown chain lightning. I never use shock at 50 unless I am in pvp and want to finish someone off with low health. I setup an isboxer macro to always activate my two relics. Anyone boxing SI should spec the madness talent so lighting barrage has no cooldown.
    “Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent.
    Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent.
    Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil?
    Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?”

    You should be able to achieve this with a spam rotation.

    Step 1
    Bind 4
    Bind 1
    Bind 2
    Bind 3
    Bind 5

    Then in Bind 4 itself, set it to pass once every 21s. Now the trick here is, set it to click only once.

    Go back to your DPS spam, and if you run an up down step advancement and 2 steps, set the second step to advance after 1.5s. If you don't do this you might actually miss your first keystroke to put up affliction.

    Default Thanks Mercbeast

    Thanks for sharing your setup! I've been using a customized setup based on yours with a BH group and the damage is massive. It totally makes up for no macro'ing in ToR.

    I'm actually trying to get a friend to try this setup with just single boxing as it will greatly improve his DPS by not having to fish for what to hit and when.
    I love the smell of electrocution in the morning!

    Beast, what does your BH dps spam key look like? I've been trying to tune mine up but can't get it right.
