was wondering if it was Legal...(i know i'm lazzy) to use my new Naga Mouse....to Bind these 3 Sets in 1 Click, like -> Target Gr1 -> Target Target -> DPS

i've read some people do it with G12 Keybord or some other Mouse....but is it Legal in SWTOR, or we can't Macro a chain of keys?

Anyways...other than that, everything is working fine *beside the Follow bug......thanks for the Help so far! <3

I'm using a naga mouse with ISboxer, even though not boxing right now. I built myself click casting ability, it just kills my hands to be a healer without that. Never seen a game yet that won't allow mouse button programming style macros for this reason.

BTW if I was boxing I imagine the click casting would work smoothly with the click through frames to get around some of the lack of macros. Thats how I used to have healers, cures, etc, set up in wow.

I used the std "1 thru =" so I could play solo and not mess with the default keybinds in game. It worked.

So heres what you end up with, using my method... (or Mercs method with a Mosg2 twist)
    Press your follow keymap.
(your slave(s) follows to a location)
click on your target with your main screen
    Press your Assist keymap.
Press your dps keys 1 thru =.

If you have to switch targets, you can leave your slave attacking the first target, and you move your main to the second target BOTH will continue to dps those targets, so long as the targets dont move, if you are melee class.

Just think of your assist key as your "this is what I want my slave to fight" key... then your main can do whatever you want.
I ended up making several DPS keys 1 - 4 and that works.

However, I was under the impression that with Merc's + mosg2 method I could have each DPS key, say '1' fire off several spells? Or, am I misunderstanding something?

I am not using the DPS keys from ISBoxer, I made a new keymap for ToR and created Shift F1 - Shift F12 ingame key bindings. I then called SF1, SF2, and SF3 in my DPS '1' as actions.

I am at work, so I am doing this from memory. I can take screen shots when I get home to help explain what i am rambling on about.

Currently you can not do that. you can not activate a string of skill s (like a macro), in the game. There isnt a macro system in place for the swtor game. Bioware indicated early on the macro system will not be implimented at launch, but did (in a round about way), say it may be added later. Thats as much as I remember. I didnt follow the story close enough to know if anything else was said... perhaps someone else on the forums may have.

And your right... you can adjust your keymap keys to use whatever you want... just so long as the key you press, corresponds with the keybind from the game to fire "1 thru 4" (for example) You can make ISBoxer use whatever key makes more sense for you. Basically, the keymap designation is ISBoxers key that you press... and when you press that key, it sends the input to the game. Now, when you setup that particular keymap, you can use "G" (as an example), as your ISBoxer Keymap. And when you configure it with steps... your step one can be Send to Current window > "3" upon key press...and if you use another step, it could be made to Send to Current window "4" upon the key release.

Then in game what happens is when you press "G", it activates key "3" and upon releasing the "G" key, it activates the "4" key. The problem is, if your skills you are attempting to use are using the same Global cooldown, the action from "4" gets skipped. So its null. but if you want to use it to first target something, then send the "3" to Current window, you can do that easily.

    make sense?

Not sure what I did, but Im glad you got things working. Sometimes seeing someone elses problem helps. I hope my failures and fixes helped.. yet, I cant take any credit. Mercbeast, and Mosg2, and Kris123 have (in my opinion), got this down tight.

    Hi Apps,

I know there is no macro support in SWToR.

The section I am referring, I have copied below.
Specifically Step 1 where each "Do SF1 ,, SF 11 in ATG key map->self" is referenced.

What I cannot get to work is the execution of SF2 .. SF 11, it only executes SF1.
I have mapped each ability in game to one key binding.
Which is explained in Mercbeast's 2nd last paragraph below.

    So:

Shift F1 = Rapid Shot ( or whatever it is called )
Shift F2 = Missile Blast, ( or whatever it is called )
    Shift F3 = Rocket Punch.

I then have each "Do SF<n> in ATG key map->self", mapped to one of the above.

    DPS 1

Create new mapped key. Name it "DPS 1"
Bind it to whatever you are going to spam. Set it to pass when pressed or released.
Step 1: Keymap Actions -> Do New KeyMap Action
Do Assist in ATG key map -> Self
Do SF1 in ATG key map -> Self
Do SF2 in ATG key map -> Self
    ...
Do SF11 in ATG key map -> Self
Step 2: Set to do not pass for 1.5 seconds (As you get haste and your GCD lowers you will lower this as well to reflect it).
Do Autofollow in ATG key map -> Self
Do CompAttack in ATG key map -> Self

So what this key is going to do, is on every keypress it will assist. On every key release it will autofollow. Every 12 seconds it will use corrosive dart. Every 35 seconds tactical advantage permitting it will use Stim Boost. Then it will prioritize Lacerate, then Backstab, then Shiv, then Rifle Shot. It will also tell your companions to attack what you attack.

I think that this should cover it. If there are any questions or clarifications requested please by all means fire away. Additionally if you see any improvements that can be made again PLEASE weigh in because the more minds we have working on this problem, the more elegant the solution we can find for assisting and autofollowing etc.

Do you have your Keymap Hotkey settings set to Default to OFF and change your drop down menu to Press OR Prelease for each dps Keymaped key?

Save, export to IS.. should work.

This needs bumped. Also, Is this info still the best method? I know people are still looking for "the setup" still.

Granted Mercbeasts is directed towards multiple computer setup, however this should still work just fine for a single computer no?

With all the talk about Focus and it auto-targeting with assist, is this method setup still current? should the Focus be mentioned here?

This setup works fine for single boxing multiple clients.

The focus assist works and if they fix it so it persists, it will be a better solution to target -> target of target. For now however unless you want to set focus after every zone transition/quest dialogue target->target of target works fine with minimum micromanagement.

Yup, I got it figured out last night... Just a note for clarification.

When making a new Mapped Key, its a good idea to first rename the key description AND rename the actual key name itself. If not, when you do the Assist for DPS (for example) what you end up with is

"Do New Mapped Key in Assist Key Map -> self"

    vs the instructions of
"Do Assist Key in ATG -> self"

So basically what I wasnt doing was choosing the pull down menu for the actual mapped key, since my options in the pull down were either blank or "New Mapped Key"... and the whole time I kept yelling at the screen saying.. "BUT I DONT WANT TO MAKE A NEW FUCKIN KEY DAMMIT!"

see? and now I feel extra dumb. Anyway, perhaps this'll help someone else.

For now, I got everything working perfectly. Merc, you're the best for making this thread. Just need an IWT and /follow to work better, and im golden. Ive even set up a heal key, on the side bars which correspond with a HealTargetParty1 Key Map I made for the healer specifically. Works like a charm!

Do SF2 in ATG key map -> Self
    ...
Do SF11 in ATG key map -> Self
    Question:
    1) Do i understand this correctly that this one DPS Key, effectively presses all keys on the clients at the "same time", and in the priority you specify the order of the skills/spells/attacks on the bars?
1a) what is your "key queue" time (or something like that) in the preferences of swtor ?

Create a hotkey called "CompAttack". Execute when hotkey pressed or released. Bind a hotkey to it, I use 0.
    Step 1
Do Assist in ATG key map -> Self
0 -> Action Target Group (This is sending 0 to all members of your action target group)
    Step 2
0 -> Action Target Group (I repeat this step because sometimes it seems a little unresponsive)
    Note:
    2) pet attack is a toggle in the game. If you press it two times in a row, the pet stops attacking!!
