    Default Vetra SwitchCaster question.

If I understand correctly I can use a ps/2 to usb converter on the SwitchCaster ps/s models. Will a convert ps/2 to usb convert work for the SwitchCaster ps/s models? Specifically for this: VIP-802-KM-B or http://www.vetra.com/802B_text.html I only have usb keyboard and mouse. I have two deck legend keyboards. A standard size frost version and the smaller 82 ice version. Both sets of keyboards are usb and my mouse is a g700. From what I been reading the reason a lot of vetra's equipment is mostly ps/2 is faster than a usb connection. That's probably the reason why deck legends keyboards are sold as either a ps/2 or usb models. Assuming I get the Switchcaster above for dual boxing and use a ps/2 to usb converter will there be any latency issues or should I just find a ps/2 keyboard and mouse? I used to dual and tri box in wow, but I found the use of software to be cumbersome. Thus, after my hard drive died and I bought a new comp I never dual box with a keycloner software, but did things manually with two keyboard and two mouses with each computer having their own monitor. I really want a hardware only solution and it seems vetra has the right equipment, but I want make sure the switcher I mention above works. I'm planning on dual boxing in swtor. Probably never box with more than two computers, which is why I want get the two pc Switchcaster model and not have to pay for the four port/4 pc usb model.

You might also be interested to know that Vetra has just released a USB switchcaster. It is currently available in a two channel version. A four channel will follow in a few months. It's not on our website yet, but if you would like more information, please feel free to contact us via phone, email, PM, or this forum.
