Here is a post from a dude that says it all ... they guy never ran a raid in cataclysm and is now 8/8 through the raid finder. The truth is that all the success of these retards is centred around good players carrying their sorry asses. And the only reason these good players have to queue up is completing their set bonus. Once that's over (couple of weeks), there is zero reason for them to queue up any more for the LFR. The retardness of some people is unbelievable ... you explain what target they can't kill whatsoever, that the only thing they should do is nuke skull and stand on the marked player, and move with him, and yet they still manage to fail.

I've ran it multiple times now, and almost every time the top 5 dps did 50% of the damage (I had fights where #2 was doing half of my damage), yet the nabs are still entitled to roll on the same gear as you. And that is quite perverse in this whole setup. But it's a problem that will solve itself: either they pick up how fights work or they just mass murder eachother vocally as soon as the 'boosters' are gone.

Or nobody will care and life will continue as usual. Also, LFR alt runs...

Well I do agree with him but from a different perspective. I was someone who was in a pretty good raiding guild, I got world 50th pre nerf Muru and raided 5 days a week with double raid on Sundays and I can't stress enough how sick and tired I am from having to schedule my life around a leisure activity. Now and then I get carried in alt runs to so that I'm able to see the content but that's not exactly fun, LFR on the other hand is a great tool for me to mess around in with my multiboxed characters and the greatest thing about it is exactly what he said: "No more obligations. No more schedules. No more cares! I AM FREE! From here on out, I can kill EVERYTHING and owe NOTHING TO ANYONE! HOORAY!".

Last night on my rogue on the warlord fight I broke 50k dps... 2nd place guy was 25k, a rogue that did 23k dps won a belt and token, and the other token went to a druid who was BELOW THE TANKS DPS...

All I said was "Glad I'm carrying you guys so you can get loot, and I get screwed" - They vote kicked me lol.

Yeah we had a rogue that did 60k dps on DW! Pretty crazy, he pretty much carried the raid and I said thank you to him

It's not like I have a choice ... the day I stepped into 4.3 I lost 7k single target dps due to various nerfs and changes. Need the 2p T13 to regain some of that and be competitive. Since acquiring set pieces is completely random & rng, and I haven't seen a single shaman/hunter/warrior token drop in like 4 full clears (including lfr) , so I have little choice not to run it. Besides it's the main motivation behind making the tier items drop only and no longer obtainable through points, so that the seasoned raiders would run LFD.

And I didn't say I don't like the LFD, I love the concept in general, I just raged a bit on that post from that guy.

Be ready for banging your head on wall. I can't tell you how many times we had to run spine on LFR before beating it... People cant stack for the dragon rolls I guess.

Last night was amazing fun. Four of us from Legion of Boom queued up as 13 of the 16 DPS in LFR. We ended up with good rolls and came out of there with NINE tier pieces for our guys. With that many toons, we could trade things around to ensure people were getting two piece bonuses or that the toon with the biggest upgrade got the drop. A couple of us ran some toons that had already done it, so it was good for everyone as there was less competition. We blew through every boss and on the slime guy we just talked in Skype about which color we wanted to kill and did it ourselves instead of paying attention to what the raid leader was spamming.

    Raid Leader (RL): "GREEN"
    RL: "GREEN"
    RL: "GREEN!!!!"
    RL "I said GREEN!!"
    (blue slime goes down)
    Random person: "OVERRULED!"
    Lots of "LOL!"

It was hilarious, but everyone was very happy b/c we were one-shotting everything (not that that is a huge accomplishment, but it certainly doesn't happen on every LFR run due to morons). The raid actually did wipe once on the last boss because a few healers got hit by the ice waves and the others couldn't keep the tank up after the first cycle, but that had nothing to do with the DPS. Besides that wipe, I don't think any of our toons died even once.

What we were postulating last night is that tanks and healers are fairly used to taking responsibility and doing the right thing b/c if they don't, people yell at them and wipes occur. Not so for DPS, so many of them don't play very well. On the last boss, 3 of our DPS died in the first ice cycle. Yep, the three that weren't played by Legion of Boom. It was hilarious. Anyway, we figure if we just keep taking the majority of the DPS spots, the moronity of the randoms is extremely reduced by taking up the "moron-attracting" DPS spots.

No one in the raid said anything about us boxing even though we were all running around together standing on top of each other - I suppose b/c things were going so smoothly. That LFR had the most unbelievable focus fire I've ever seen in an LFR, even though no targets were marked.

I think Pinot is going to post some fraps of it. We were all laughing and having a great time. It was the most fun we've had in a while.

The nicest thing is b/c we are boxers and have plenty of toons, we can do it and continue to get loot for many nights to come.
