    Default Rift On Sale

I just noticed it, so not much time left, but if anyone catches this in time and wants it, Rift is 7.50$ right now on steam.

    For another 16 hours.

$10US for the collector's edition with the mount/banker/hat/etc. :P Pretty good deal for new folks, IMO.

Rift is a lot better since release. If SWtOR does not keep me happy until MoP.. i will be back in Rift. I have yet to level a team to 50. Now that i have a good rig, I'm itching to try. ATON of content has come out since it opened. more than most games first expansion.. and it has not had an"expansion" yet.

I didn't pick up rift until oh, about 6 months or so after release. It's been a very solid game so far. The world doesn't feel quite as vibrant as WoW's did but they are constantly doing some kind of event. Also, the world is a lot more busy than WoW's empty zones. Could be that it's smaller but it does feel like more people are around doing things. Less folks in the capital cities but more out in the world. Fun stuff.

After playing Rift for 8 months and doing videos on the game I am SOOOO ready for SWTOR. Rift is a really good game but you end up in the same spot you were in WOW. That spot is being top level and grinding or raiding.

Rift is honestly still WOW 2.0 with Rifts. The novelty of rifts and invasions wear off very quickly. A few other problems are the devs are constantly tinkering with class balance and PVP servers are so imbalanced it's insane. Defiants outnumbering Guardians by a HUGE margin and heard most PVP Guardians have clumped on 1 single server.

I would say that max-level is the same in all MMOs. It turns into grinding - farming the same mobs over and over again. Raiding is the same - doing the same raid instances over and over again. The thing that keeps me going in Rift is the role system. Changing to a completely different spec keeps it fresh to me. That, and trying to not play my max-level characters too often.

Regarding swtor, I'm not sure it has basic boxing support like auto-follow or assist...
