Android Phones and Reply All

Tried googling this, but Android + text + reply + all just doesn't narrow it enough. Problem is that my brother keeps sending these texts that go to 5-10 people, including me. They are just infrequent enough that I let my guard down and BAM Android trickfucks me by using a "reply all" button. This would be fine, however when you are looking at your text conversations window it shows the conversation as my brother, not all 10 people. So I think Im just replying to him and that's when the texts starts. "Who are you?", "?", etc.
Anyone know a fix for this? I have no idea why they dont represent his conversation as Brother ++ or make the Reply All button red or anything to differentiate. What's really weird is other people when they do a multiple receiver conversation I see a few of the names in the text title, but not with my brother. Sigh.

Not sure what your problem is, when I get multi-contact texts, i see all the names comma-separated.
Maybe it's because they are not in your address book or something like that? try and add one of them to your contacts maybe

you might be able to check by clicking the menu button and whether you have "View contact" (existing contact - probably only your bro) or "Add contact" (some people not in your contact list, probably not only your bro)

Not sure. I use Chomp SMS on my EVO. Never had that problem. Which phone and SMS app are you using?

Yeah I was hoping for a permanent fix, like "change reply all button for multiple receivers to reply." I mean honestly I think I have had one multiple recipient conversation since I have owned the phone, why is this default behavior? It's like they want people to fuck up and send shit to people they don't know


edit: Its the Android Bionic on the Verizon network and its SMS messaging I assume.

I suspect that's specific to the app on your phone. You might try a different SMS app and test it with family and see what happens. If that fixes it, then it's basically a permanent solution. Funny enough, I actually get fewer crashes when receiving MMS messages using Chomp SMS versus the default Sprint/HTC app.

had a similar situation on my iphone4s, thought I was replying to 1, when I get 3 back saying "who is this?". Didn't even notice it was a multi text and a reply all function.
