Shaman vs dk patch 4.3

So I was just doing my thing with pvp and realized something. I should have farmed farmed some justice points on my teams. 4K justice + 4k honor = about 7kish honor through the conversion at the pve vendors. Sorry if this is well known, just realized it today. Its a nice jump on the season when 390 stuff hits.

You should have bought 2 x pvp head enchants and 2 x pvp shoulder enchants aswell would have saved you alot of farming next season.

Ohh, nice are you capping conquest points now then? Your able to farm 1650 conquest before the season starts

I keep leaning towards shelving my DK's and gearing up 4x Shamans. I like the idea of a single group that can PvE or PvP equally well, since I'm lazy and don't like maintaining two groups. Melee boxing PvE is generally a nightmare. So, I get all hyped up on the idea of dusting off the Shamans, go run a couple of BG's and remember what it's like to be constantly circle strafed by melee. . .

I guess it's an unfair comparison, since I've played DK's constantly since Cata released and haven't played Shamans at all since mid-Wrath.

Atleast thunderstorm has a snare attached to it now, to give you more casts. IF you want to see something lolzie, use the Glyph of Unleashed Lightning + IWT, and circle cast round the melee, throwing in Fulminations when you can.

I had thought about this but it still seems like unreliable damage, since lightning bolt damage is pretty poor to begin with, and you only have a 50% chance of being facing your target when the cast finishes.

If I stuck with it and got their gear up to my DK's level, refined my macros and got used to using round robin, thunderstorm and earthbind properly, I'm sure it'd make managing melee much easier. All of that requires actually pressing buttons, though. I'm too used to being able to semi-AFK faceroll 20-0 with my DK's.

Actually, something I haven't noticed as much yet (because I haven't PvP'd with them much yet), is being at a default disadvantage because I'm Alliance. I imagine the BE racial is still a nightmare to deal with in arena.
