I just hate the fact that it's possible for casuals to overwhelm and kill me easier with their shiny new no effort gear and noob skills. Atleast late in the season that is.

You are seriously overestimating the amount of skill in the shallow end of the pool. I'm awful at PVP, just awful. And I always have been and probably always will be, since I make little effort to improve. I play smart and am usually helpful, but in straight-up PVP against other players I am slow to react and badly lacking in coordination.

...and I constantly run into players worse than me. Constantly. And no, I'm not underestimating myself. I am bad. They are astoundingly worse.

Anyway, the point is that you'll still be slapping casuals silly from the start to the end of the season. I think that the number of players who will gain enough gear from this change to tip the odds in their favor will be very few. As you note, they made no effort (or very little effort) to get the gear, and it's unlikely that they got any better from the practice. They WILL be more inclined to play, since they believe that those shiny new epics will make them better.

To summarize: all this means is more lambs to the slaughter. Stop worrying, just sharpen your knives and enjoy.

I keep dreaming of putting out a spectacular 4x Frost DK pvp video. With the 4x frost DK's I don't have

I still check the forums and was surprised how few videos there are. I got the sense people weren't even PVP'ing anymore. Someone make something or I'm going to have to level up 3 more DK's.

That's an odd statement. The challenge is (or should be) playing and winning. If challenge is what you want, you should be happy that more players have the opportunity to gear on even terms so skill can decide who wins, instead of overgearing your opponent.

In fact, the best PvP games I've played are the ones where gear has very little or no impact on your ability to do well.
