What Im saying is 5v5 is so rare that I get the same 2 teams. I have only met 2-3 below me, almost all are a good 200+ above.

edit: the point of it was that if there are more people playing 5s I will have a better chance of facing people that are at or slightly above my rating. But whatever, Im done talking about this.

The reason why people aren't playing 5s is because most people don't like arena. And don't like being forced there to get the best and 2nd best gear.

I've always enjoyed battlegrounds, and have always disliked arena.
But have run arena because that is where the best gear was/is.

With the ability to get the best gear from Battlegrounds without having to do Arena at all...
I doubt I'll step into the arena again.



Arena is superior to battlegrounds, as an e-sport.
Battlegrounds seems to have larger appeal to the masses.
Each individual will like one more than the other (aside from a few who like them equally), and liking one more than the other is not right or wrong.

I'd like to see each arena team with exactly equal gearing, much like their advertised dungeon challenges.
That way the winning team is probably the more skilled team (although lower ping might change things), rather than the more geared team having a huge edge.
Rating would be a more accurate measurement of pvp skill, if everyone had the same gear.
Of course then you'd need to work out an incentive to arena...

i love the change for my lets say 2nd group that can olny play in big bg's (av ioc eots ab) mages/warlocks (maybe even shammys) that have noway to play arana becouse the right setup you be killed. but its like fram max honor gear then thats it nothing else to do with this group. or solo play them in arana but to be fair am mutiboxing so i do not need to solo play so why spend days takeing them in one by one when i can fram out bg's (hello av weekends )


now if they got rid of randoms and made it play what bg's you like/can do and get same stuff Happy Days!!

Exactly, this is why I think alot of players will stop doing arena. If your not going to get above 1500 in arena or rbgs to raise your point cap there is no point in doing arenas. Since the same gear is available via random bgs.

One thing to note tho is that it will req 27 wins from BG to cap the 1350ish cap.

It will go way faster to cap via arena, or RBG, still a thing that i think people should take into concideration.

From my personal view, i will prob focus on BG and RBG next season, thats what i enjoy the most.

Thats debatable and varies for each individual person. However, I think its wrong to state opinion as fact. I still get under 5 min wsg/ab/eots wins and I still get 20 min 2v2 games or 5 min+ 3s games. Although, I could a major revitalization of speed rushing AV games.

I like the change. Except bring back the the ladder steping for acquiring "arena gear". And when i say arena gear.....gear with cosmetic changes only.

1200 - different color chest
1400 - different color hands
1600 - different color helm
.....and so on
2200 - then you could get the upgraded weapons

But weapons would be the ONLY thing you could get(points too obviously) that effected stats from doing arena. It wouldnt make me mad either if they raised the weapon rating.

well that would be cool but with transmogrification I know I will be rocking other seasons pvp/pve gear. Gear cosmetics is no longer any kind of status symbol come 4.3

what's the point in that? PvE you can get heroic gear with better stats. PvP you get colors yay
