Default Druid/Shaman Leveling Specs - need help

This is cross-posted from the beginner forum, where is didnt seem to be getting any answers. I am very noobish when it comes to playing a druid or a shaman, and I am basically just trying to get a grasp on the best way to play this combo.

Hi. Brand new to duel-boxing, but far from new to the game. I have played a hunter and spriest to 70, but have always wanted a druid for PvP, specifically arenas. I am a min/max kind of guy, so I really have no intention of duel-boxing once I hit 70 with the druid/shaman.

Current tactics: I have my druid as my main, with my shaman as the alt. I think it is very obvious that I will be full feral for the entire leveling process. My main question is how to fit the shaman into the mix. I have toyed around with meleeing with the shaman, but that is hard for me to get positioning correct, and I think I am missing a bunch of dps.

I have one main question. Should I spec elemental and act as a pure dps alt, to burn through mobs faster, or is there another way to spec that will bring the most out of this grouping? It seems like there would be great synergy between an enhancement shaman and feral druid, but I have not been able to figure out how to get the most out of a melee alt.

I was thinking starting out my talent tree with the shaman like this:

    http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=hZxf0b

to get the most out of the totems for the feral druid. After that I am kind of lost on how to get the most out of this group, strictly due to specing for the shaman.

Any help would really be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

If your shaman is your alt, you'd really only be looking at 2 specs:

    1. Elemental for extra dps

    2. Resto for a heal bot.

Since your running a druid, I'd go with Elemental. I wouldn't wast time on Enhance, becuase as you have already found out, setting alts up for melee damage is a pain. Also keep in mind that ToW and LOTP will stack nicely giving you a 8% extra crit. The only catch being you won't get access to ToW until level 50 as its a 41 point talent.

This isn't quite correct. ToW affects only spells, and LOTP affects only melee and ranged. You are probably thinking of the boomkin aura, which does affect spells. Really there isn't much synergy at all between an elemental shaman and a feral druid. Even so, elemental is probably still the best choice of spec for the shaman IMO.
