5 Magi versus Dungeons - Progression from 50-85

Quested 7 levels last now, which puts my mages @47.

I've cleared some trash and a few bosses in a couple of instances, really expecting to get to level 50 with mirror images and walk all over everything.

Are my expectation realistic in the slightest? how were dungeons for other 5 x mage groups @ 50+ ?
