Starting a new 5 mage group, what race?

I am starting a new group of 5 mages and just curious what race I should go with, faction doesn't matter, just kind of weighing the pros and cons of various races with the mage class and can't make up my mind. I am basicly wanting extreme damage and will be attempting some herioc fun eventually XD

Gnomes are good choice Int racial with snare remover
Draenei good for self heals
Undead or Human good for free fear breaker
Troll nice for 20% casting speed racial

They all have their perks ... I would personally go with Troll or UD... i dont like ally toons.

Gnomes will get you a lot off QQ horde seem to hate being nuked by gnomes (its kinda funny)

if i see gnomes i purposely target and kill them first, because they are gnomes.
i dont know why i hate them, but i do and they all must die.

but ya i'd go with oath on this, if you are going to be pvping alot, go undead, for free fear release.

Gnomes 5% more mana racial is huge for arcane, since your arcane blast damage is based on your current mana.

i went blood elf with mine. arcane torrent is nice to have in pve and pvp

They all have their perks, go for the race you enjoy the most! you'll be watching it x5 for a little while!
I would personaly go for gnomes, but that's just me

Human trinket racial is better though

Humans for trinket racial, or gnomes for int racial, or draenei for hit% and heal racial.

Sorry if I'm stupid and have missed anything but where does it say arcane blast damage is based on current mana?
