Default SWTOR + Revenant drama + apology

hey guys, sorry for my post earlier, the one with the panda picture, actually i have been REALLY busy, and wasn't aware that there was so much drama with the boxers and Revenant. It was made a joke for revenant, and not actually a serious recruitment thing.. I was just having fun with my kind of disappointment with blizzard catering to the little kids.. lol

I think that can all be worked out, but if people are not satisfied, and want to make our own Sith guild thats only for Boxers, I would be glad to make it.

Most of you know me as mcwrathy, I am the (i believe) longest remaining Legion of Boom member, and officer, and I have been Multiboxing since just after BC started. If we want a home that is all ours, I can provide one.

I have forums, I have a domain all of that, and if you are, let me know.

I am happy with Revenant so far, and though the game hasn't started, i am confident they are a good crew.

BUT, my allegiance will and always has been with this community.

I would be glad to set this up for us.

I am not hardcore PvE or anything, and I would be setting it up for a place for all of us to just get together. NO exceptions.

We need to keep in mind that we as boxers are in this together, regardless of the choice of game. At d-b want to be open, lighthearted and have a fucking awesome time, but when posts are constructed that will most likely create a huge flame war mess we need to keep those under control. I have no problem with the image, if was funny, but the statements made with it lead us down this caustic rode. People can dislike whatever they want, but in this community we need to try to keep things in line. This does not mean we can not have conversations about these dislikes, we can and we have many times. We are a passionate bunch!

See dude? This is why I love you. Playing both sides myself... I thank you for posting this.
I too really like the guys at Revenant. Hell, more than half of Revenant is us. Im sure this will eventually change.

    I still want my shirt.

I saw the drama about Pinot, and I've intentionally tried to avoid it. I understand both sides. I think Pinot brought this drama on himself via his (IMHO) complete overreaction. oh well it's done and it's been handled and he's been welcomed back if he chooses.

The thing to remember is that Revenant is not a multiboxing guild. It's a guild that is cool with having multiboxers as members without fear of bias.

One of the things (IMHO) that drove me away from LoB and ultimately limited what LoB was capable of was the closed off
nature. You had a closed door community of socially closed off people. It was a nice, neat container for everyone to do their own thing and not rely on anyone for anything. It's through no one person's fault. It's the nature of multiboxing to be self reliant and not need anyone. During my time in LoB it was purely an exercise in futility to get anything going. Any organized group effort was an uphill struggle. LoB has certainly had it's successes and I don't mean to trivialize those by any means. I enjoyed my time in LoB and I regret I wasn't able to do more while I was there.

This brings me to the point of what I'd personally like to see. I'd love to see multiboxing become even more mainstream and successful. Cataclysm really drove multiboxers away from end game content. Who know if SW:TOR will be anywhere near the multiboxing potential WoW has been. But let's not divide the multiboxers right out of the gate. Look at the mass migration I was able to cause, and even sustain for a good bit with the droves of multiboxers that either transfered to, or rerolled on Kil'Jaeden. Maybe I'm a bit biased, but I think the height of LoB's success was when you guys were clearing raid content while multiboxing, and when LoB was highly ranked as a 10 man progression team due to the raid team we had while I was GM.

What I'm trying to get at, is you are going to have SW:LoB if you break away from Revenant and form a "boxing only guild". If that's what you really want, have at it. I haven't been involved with LoB in over a year, I have no bearing on what you guys do. Do what *you* want to do to make sure *you* have fun. No matter what game, no matter what guild. If you're not having fun, why bother? That's mainly why I left LoB. It wasn't fun struggling to get people to do the smallest thing. If you guys do break off Revenant, I wish you the best of luck, I hope you're able to do everythig you want to do. I compell you to consider the lessons LoB has taught over the years. If you want more than what LoB KJ is, find a guild that has a community already, or build a bigger community of not just multiboxers around LoB. Don't limit yourselves.

Maybe I'm off base, maybe you guys are perfectly happy. I joined Revenant because I enjoyed playing Wow with Crum and he reccomended these guys. Vecter and a lot of other IRC guys followed suit, then it eventually became a "Hey this guild doesn't care if you're a boxer, come chill with us" setup and next thing you know half of LoB is applying to Revenant. I think that's great. But I think the expectations may not have been fully understood. Revenant isn't a place where you just drive through wearing the hat. They want people to be active and engaging with each other. They're not going to be a LoB style guild where there's no direction in guild. There will be goals, there will be a path to reach those goals. If you want to be apart of this, great. Everyone's welcome.

I don't want to see 1 person getting butt hurt cause such a division. It's up to you guys whether or not you let it. AFAIK Pinot is welcome in Revenant. If you guys want to go do your own thing, I wish you the best of luck but make sure you're doing it for the right reasons. If you choose to stick with Revenant, that's great.
