Kicked Out Of Revenant Before The Game Releases

I figured I come in and defend Revenant a little.

First off Pinotnoir, I have no bad blood with anyone here. I'm not sure what you were confused about from the start and I have offered to work out anything that seems confusing. When you app, you agree to our charter. Again I'm not asking for you to be on every hour on the hour. But it's almost been a month from your initial post, when we ask for you to check in so we know your still interested, I don't think this is a wild request.

Second, You keep stating that the game is still yet to be released... So wouldn't this be the opposite of what your saying? You don't interact with the guild at all, why not interact until you can get in game with them? We have plenty of people who have plenty to say. We post new information about the game daily, and have plenty of stuff to decide on as a guild. I do think maybe you haven't been in a Guild run like this, but without structure things can get messy.

As always, I'm willing to listen to anyone's side of the story.

Look at your post count and look at mine here. I only joined this guild because it was posted here. Many of my guild members joined it thinking we are all planning on playing swtor together. Who are you and why was this guild started? Do you even have ties to dual-boxing.com or did you use this community to fill your guild ranks? I want to play with fellow boxers. The main reason why I want to do that is boxers are not into the Gestapo style guild operations. We box to avoid that crap. Your charter does not specify members must post weekly before the game is released to stay in good standing.

I am not sure how old you are or what your occupation is. As I explained, I work 24hr shifts every 3rd day as a Firefighter and run my own retail store. I am 39 years old and don't have time for idle chat on some forums of a game that has not started yet. I have real issues to deal with like keeping my business from going bankrupt and saving lives. I am not 15 years old living at home with nothing to do but chat on forums about a game I have not even played yet. I hope you can understand that. We are not kids here.

Again I'm not sure where your anger comes from. Many of your fellow Multi-boxing team mates visit the site daily and have no problem having a friendly chat.

Yet again you claim I'm telling you to do it daily... This is incorrect. I am telling you to do it once in a while. Once a month is not that bad. Again compared to many guilds you will join, our recruitment is cake.

My ties to the DB community? We'll Crum was a fellow co-worker about a year ago, we asked him if he'd be interested in a SWTOR Guild, he was and had the idea to invite other DB members to join the guild. We didn't force you to put an application in.

Last, why do you assume I'm some young kid? Want to know about me? I'm 27, I live in Central New York, I work in IT Doing everything from Disaster Recovery, Networking, VMWare Administration, Ipad Development, Mobile Phone Management for a company with offices all over the world. I am married and have a almost 2 year old son and 3 dogs. I come home and spend time with my family, and when I have a second I like to watch the Buffalo Sabres play and work on other Websites I have in development. I don't live with my parents and I don't live in a basement, I've earned my own for a long time and proud of it.

Last, for the 10th time I ask you. Isn't a game not being released, make you want to know a guild that you know nothing about a little more? Don't you feel like you'd be left out not knowing who anyone is come release? What if we change roles or server pre launch? How would you know?

I do understand people have other things going on in their life. But
checking into the forums once a week isn't much to ask. Many guilds make
you sign in daily, we are just asking you to check in once in a while.
Your two week recruitment was up, but there was no way for us to tell if
your still with us or not. You obviously check email daily, same thing
goes with the guild site. Hopefully this isn't too much to ask.

I already know most of the people in the guild from this website and my Wow guild. I never assumed you were a kid. I stated that I am not some 15 year old with nothing to do. My anger comes from being denied because someone feels I have not made enough idle chat post on the forums for a game that is not out yet. When it gets closer to release I will be more active. Right now its months away. You should let people know who join that they must post more than once every 23 days or they will get the boot. It's your guild so kick people out if you want. For all I know this game may suck which will make this whole issue a moot point.

I don't think this deems a negative thread on Revenant, however if it makes things easier for people, I will add an additional line stating please check in after your 2 week trial period is up.

Your telling me to check in after you just kicked me out? How are you begging me to join after I get application denied emails from you stating I have not posted enough? I am not sure what you have been smoking. Additionally, I am confused about checking in when I made 4 post on the forums since my application. When did I ever request to leave? You sent me the email saying I was denied. You kick me out then say your not going to beg me to join? WTF? My next post will be 1337.

No, he's not the only one. My post count may be low, but I've been around these forums about as long as pinotnoir and I have a problem with it too. As pinotnoir eloquently stated, this type of Gestapo power tripping by guild officers is what drives many of us to multibox.

My last post was Oct 2. Today is Oct 25. Could it be the reason I am the only person having a problem with this is because I just received a denied email from you? Do you think if I did not want to play this game with my friends I would not have emailed you right after I received the email and posted all this? This was unexpected and wrong.

There are two options to this. One, You retract your denied application and I forget this happened. Two, stick to your denied application and I do my best to get my Legion of Boom mates to find another server who will appreciate us. Lot's of people from my guild joined yours and this bs is standing in the way of me joining them in swtor. So singling me out really chaps my ass. I have played with some of those guys for years. I am sure you would feel the same way if you invested years with a community, and some person who does not even take part in it singles you out for removal while your friends are included. Let me know your decision.

Haven't singled you out from anything. Let me get one thing straight, Revenant isn't a DB community, it is a gaming community with people who like to DB.

That being said, like I said before. I'm more than willing to work anything out. I wouldn't call this a power trip, I'm not saying I don't want you back. But I am not going to beg someone who has had every chance to talk things over.

I have altered the Guild Charter to include checking in on the 2 week trial date. After, we ask you to check in if you wish to be "part of the community" , there is plenty going on with or without a released game. The door is wide open, and had never been locked. The choice is yours.
