I can certainly respect those who are not quite feeling the Panda's , as Mosg2 put it, But the first thing that stuck in my mind, hearing the intro speech at blizzcon, was the whole bad guy , bad guy, bad guy, oh hell, we are all the bad guys.

Now bear with me, as I'm gonna go Nerd on you all for a moment.

I remember the holiday season, back when Star Trek the motion Picture, first came out, I was excited, Not only was the greatest Captain ever on the big screen, It had the director of The Day the Earth stood Still , assigned to it.

Granted, Looking back, it was a flop, but for the time, we had no new Trek in almost a decade, We where praising that film, and all it's Polyester brilliance.

Look at WoW Vanilla, Been a while since W3, and we loved it, It was new , and had some great minds behind it, Was it harder then? Hells yes it was harder, but it allowed us to join together with friends and families, Even if it took us an hour to kill Hogger the first time!

Then I look at Star Trek, TWOK and SfS. Intense, Major bad guys, Khan himself being the legendary that all other ST movie bosses are held to. IT was exhausting, True Adventure amongst the stars, with the loss of our dearest blood, and the rebirth of our dearest blood, in just a few short years.

As with BC and WotLK, Legendary Bad guys, and Arthas, the Khan like super man at the end, How clear the analogy appears to me now.

Then we had Cata, ok, major bad guy, but reminds me of STV, the search for God. Ok story, OK Premise, OK bad guy, but just missing something big.

Oh wait, I missed STIV: TVH. I remember the first time I heard about it, they are out to save some damn whales? What is this, Sea Shepperd in space? but I think most of us , look back fondly on it, as just a fun movie, A break from all of the tension given us in the previous two films. We got to see the crew doing what they do best. It was a much needed break.

That is kind of how I am envisioning Mists, A much needed break, with just some fun things to do. It's like after fighting legions of Demons, to Legions of Scourge, To a Dragon as big as legions, I get to sit back, maybe not take myself so seriously, and relax and take in the atmosphere of a brave new world.

They just better not screw up the expansion after that, as I'm holding them to STVI The Undiscovered Country's standards.

So, feel free to ignore my Nerd rant, hell I know I would if it hadn't been on my mind for the last few days, But that is just how one sole Okie who loves his Classic Space / Fantasy Opera kind of sees things.
