The Power of Five!!! ( short video )
Fifth shaman or druid is the thing to get if you want a mobile healer of follow I guess. Thing is that I want a team that is the same for pvp and pve, no changing chars around. I really should give the dk`s another try I think and then maybe, indeed trow in a priest + warrior to the mix
I think for BG`s(don`t care for arena) it doesn`t really mather what healer you play. Pala maybe more duarable but the mobility of the shaman and druid is great, running around while your melee runs off on his own. Priest is just awesome for dispelling which helps a ton.
A Paladin is nice, because they can heal in battlegrounds; although I'd probably be more inclined to have a 5th Shammy in BG's or just four in Arena... along with someone else playing last slot as the healer.
Pallies can tank, in instances or heroics.
My spacegirls really liked having a Paladin along for a lot of their adventures.
A druid is an option too.
Because a Feral can tank as well as a Prot Paladin.
And you can heal as a Resto, or nuke along with Elementals as a Boomkin.
Boomkin adds the extra spell damage taken.
And Travel Form is very similar to Ghost Wolf.
EverQuest I: Bard / Enchanter / Druid / Wizard / 2x Magician.
Diablo III: 4x Crusader & 4x Wizard.

To (belatedly) answer the question, for me doing those heroics was much easier with my pally as holy and all four DKs as blood. With all the self healing it was fairly easy to keep the crew up with my pally even during high damage fights. Their DPS wasn't as good as my "regular" mixed ranged teams, but with PvP gear they were doing from 7-11K DPS times four, so mobs fell over plenty fast.
