Default Any Boxers out there that raid?

I have a guild that has only my toons in it on Kilrogg.
Just 3 lvl 45ish hunters at the moment I deleted some 80s because I wanted to start over
I would like to talk to some raiding boxers and see how they manage that.
With nothing but boxers or pugs, maybe boxers and solo guys or what?

I think I would like to raid I've been playing wow for a few years now and boxed for most of that time
Though I have been away for more than a year now.
And I've never done more than 5 mans.

I like to play 3 hunters and I used to run my solo friends but none of those folks play anymore.
And I'm looking to step up.

I'm pretty sure that I'm not gonna find a raid guild that would take a boxer ( lol ) and probably no raiders that would be willing to be in a guild run by a boxer

    So what to do?

Is boxing endgame content out of the question, Or are there people out there doing it

Your very unlikely to find raiding with your guys following on dps effective and likely a detriment to the raids success. It's not a gearing or know how to play issue as those problems could be easily overcome with 10mans with friends and gearing to raid level gear can be done in a few days.

There are a lot of gtfo of the fire, exploding debuffs, area transitions and so forth that are going to be massive issues to overcome. Not just a 'progression' level but with mundane raiding.

Having all one class, especially all one role is more of an issue. If you had shaman, druid, paladin or what not you could weave your characters solo into raid slots and lockouts easily. With the hunters its hard to get the roles right, especially with the buff loss that your additionally bringing to the raid.

I thought these would be problems thats why i was asking
I thought the biggest problem would be taking up too many raid slots for pure dps when ppl are gonna want solo folks for cc and the like

I 5-box and I also raid, but I raid with only a single toon. I *might* be able to box 2 toons on some of the easier stuff, but my dps would suffer. I have 5-boxed in older 25 man raids though, like WotLK stuff, along with other "real" people.

In firelands: shannox, lord ryolith, baleroc, alysrazor, bethi'lac, majordomo are all somewhat boxerfriendly. They don't require a lot of 'run out with debuff' mechanics like we had plenty in tier 11. I'd say even ragnaros is doable if you know what you are doing, this all with 3 dps in mind.

The first 2 new raid bosses on ptr that were available for testing llast night could be boxed as well.

There are those guilds out there that welcome multiboxing dps in their raid. Its all about knowing the content, my best advice is to run it a couple of time with a solo character and prove to the guild that you will manage it.

I run at the moment 5 dps in our main 25 man raid team and run either 3 dps or 2 healers in our 10 man group. And so far the raiders love it. And I dont feel I lose any dps from it, sometimes its the opposite. They gain more by having a multiboxer with them.
As a multiboxer you are more used to pay attention to the enviroment.
So keep searching , cause they are out there

The new LFR system they are putting in for 4.3 should take care of many of these issues. I've always run multiple toons in 25 man PuG raids and have done just fine with them. No one ever notices that I'm playing 2-3 toons because my DPS is on par and I play different classes.

With LFR I plan on continuing this, but can also do it with other guildies in the raid easily and whenever we feel like raiding. I have 40 toons that are ilvl 368 or so, so I should be able to raid as many times as I want to every week.

In the past I ran some ICC10 solo before they gave us the buffs and of course Naxx and the Winterspring bosses when they were current. After the nerfs to BWD and BoT I can get a couple bosses down solo as well. However, with all the crazy mechanics they have been putting in lately, I'm not banking on being able to solo raids when they are current any more. That probably won't stop me from trying tho ;-)

I think you will find issues when it comes down to rolling for gear. Some people will want you to only have one chance while others will think it's fine that you get one chance per character. A good example is when a very cool mount drops... do you get 3x chances or just one? Make sure whatever rule you are going with is known at the start of the raid!

I have to agree that shaman, druids and pallys might be a better raiding groups since they can bring more to the table.
