Extra Life

I'm going to multibox the 24-hour Extra Life event on Saturday with a new team of five clerics. I have a blog about it at http://boxofchocolate.smedis.com and I just created a YouTube channel on http://www.youtube.com/user/RiftBox. Hopefully I'll be awake enough to keep posting during the 24 hours.

Anyone else participating? I'm going Guardian for this team, since I've never played Guardian before. It could be fun to roam around with other multiboxers, or do some open world PvP - one team against another team!

Cool, the names of my characters will be Dansa, Domona, Dannya, Despoina and Dimma. What are you character names going to be?

I think we should be able to get the win for things like most-planarite, highest-level, most-dungeons, most-honor, etc, but to do that we would have to pick one of them and grind just that one thing for 24 hours straight, and do absolutely nothing else. I'm not sure I'm willing to do that.......

I'm thinking more of trying a little bit of everything - dungeons, rifts, pvp, and keep posting to the blog and YouTube channel throughout the event to show how it is to multibox 5 clerics in Rift, and multiboxing in general.

But it would be cool to swarm down on high level Rifts with an army of lower-level multiboxed characters!

One of my characters is going to be an Outfitter, to make bags for everyone. Let me know if you want bags!

I will come up with some names tonight as I want to preconfigure some ISB settings.

Hopefully, they will release the name of the server tomorrow sometime and then I can hope the names are not taken.

I am up for trying a bit of everything as well and pick up foraging/mining/???

Not sure if I wanna level a crafting trade up yet.

To be eligible for what they call the "special achievement prizes" (rewards for highest level gained, most planarite, most favor earned, etc) you have to be level 1 or 2 at 8:00 am PDT on Saturday.

However, this will only affect a very small number of people. Almost no one will get those prizes anyway. To get the two in-game titles that everyone can get, you can be any level.

Hmm, Trion's info page says no transferred items can be used, but does that include the Exp potions from Veteran rewards? They are not transferred, they show up in that characters mailbox

That's only if you want to win one of the special achievement prizes. If you're going for the highest level achieved of all the thousands (?) of people participating, they will check the logs that you haven't cheated. This includes XP potions or getting help to power level from a high-level friend, etc. They will only check the logs on the potential winners, of course, since it wouldn't matter if you didn't win anyway.

If you just want to participate in the event and get the two titles, there are no restrictions.
