cross faction emotes

Can all predefined emotes be understood by the other faction?
Will all emotes on e.g. this page be understood by the other faction?

Is it only those emotes generetaded by the /e command which will generate the text "X makes some strange gestures"?

The /e ones cannot, th e predefined ones can, /spit and /moo. While /e asks call me does not

I even asked a GM about it, but his reply really baffled me. First he said he didn't know cause he never heard of this type of question before and didn't even see a reason for me to ask this (like he couldn't understand why anyone would want to emote cross faction).

I explained that if a player from another faction e.g. helps me out with a quest it would be nice for me to know if /bow, /thank etc are correctly received by that other player.

Then the GM suggested that I should meet a friend of the other faction and try this out for myself. Very surprised by this I said that would require me to also communicate live with him cross faction since I can't see the result he gets in his chat window, and it is against rules to communicate live outside the game cross faction on the same realm.

He then accused me of making the conversation unpleasant and left. This behavior really shocked me.

Actually no. I only get rude comments from those in my own faction now and then... From cross faction I often see "X makes some strange gestures" and those kind of yelling looking like YO U LO SE

But sure, I've seen emotes like /spit though from other faction, but I still wanted to know if ALL predefined emotes works cross faction.

Sometimes you can communicate a little by using caps/spaces.

Before cross server BGs we'd all goof around in BGs both sides. Nakes dance parties or whatever. Times were different, lol.

Anyway- stuff like yell "L A G" would work. Works enough were you can be understood - unless they changed it.

Oh if another faction does the /e all you see is- SonSo mkes a strange gesture or w/e.
