EvE Client Stability - What Works Best

I'm starting my tests with 26 man fleet. Running 4 clients per computer is new to me, the most I've run in the past was 2. I was extremely disappointed because I was crashing about every 5 minutes (given 26 accounts thats the equivalent of someone playing 4 accounts crashing about every half an hour) - basically the clients that didnt have focus would either shut down completely or freeze the whole computer for a couple minutes, stop responding, and need to be ended. Obviously when you're trying to fly 26 ships you can't be constantly screwing around with relogging.

Many people swear by the single directory installation - that is running all your clients out of the same directory. I had been doing this for my initial tests but after switching to 1 install per client per computer I haven't had a crash yet.

Anybody else playing multiple accounts per computer with the new eve expansion having luck or problems? I'm surprised how few multibox this or at least talk about it...

Have they rolled back the captain's quarters thing yet? I saw a note from the CEO that the market/CQ snafu were being rectified.

ya the CEO feller just admitted they botched a bunch of shit and that they shouldnt have taken away ship spinning. i dont think they're actually rolling anything back, but hopefully they'll return ship spinning and make CQ optional. I've got it disabled for now while thats still an option so I don't think that has been an issue for any of my problems. I haven't had a single crash while docked regardless of the installation configuration.

I played 5 on a single machine out of one directory. No crashing problems.

What are you doing with 26 if you don't mind my asking? That's an interesting number to choose.

Are you playing them manually or using mouse replication? I tried to play 6 but found 5 was my sweet spot for comfort. But I ran everything manually.
