Some alternative methods are to set your Warlock's macro to assist off your mage or a different macro like:
Or use a Target method instead of Assist
The above macro will assist off your focus target if it is an enemy, otherwise it will assist off your mage.

I like the target method better because you can actually set a condition to target an enemy. With the assist macro, if your Focus or Mage is targeting a Friendly target, your Warlock will do the same and will not be attacking/casting. Is your Focus usually set to the Tank or someone else when you are not CC'ing?

Replace "MageName" with the name of your mage.
I drive with my pally tank. So generally I'll click an enemy, use sheep macro, click another enemy, use fear macro, click another enemy, use another fear macro. (With glyph so they stand still).and then pull the rest of the pack.

But the warlocks will stop dpsing after a few casts after I click back with my pally to whatever target I am burning down.
