For those of you in the U.S. (or who play the U.S. client) who cannot wait, Amazon has been showing Wrath of
the Lich King for $30 (instead of $40) since yesterday.

i would just do the digital upgrade. Even if its an extra 20 dollars.... Blizzard needs your money! I mean they Want your money.

I would expect something to lure people in with great deals before Christmas. One because of the holiday of course. The second because SWTOR is coming out Dec 20Th and every MMO I've seen is probably panicked. Of course there's no WOWkiller nonsense - but they'll lose more subs and money like every other MMO will. Their loss will be our advantage! I'll probably pick up some Cata's when they get around 20$ again.

People generally only have time for one MMO you know and everyone is going to be trying SWTOR that I know. Just look at the pre-order sales. Not trying to derail th thread or anything. Just pointing out another possible reason for such good deals and possible lower prices in the future.

If there is a black Friday sale, is it possible to buy WoW in anticipation of RAFing an account at some unknown future date? Or do you have to create the new account in order to buy it?

There has never not been a WoW Black Friday sale. Almost everything in America is on sale that day.

Last year, you had two choices when ordering: Either buy a physical copy and have it shipped to you via
UPS or buy a digital copy and get the code e-mailed to you.
