and yep 1.26g or something now on EU i missed the gold drop though to many was framing, even solo players so it was not cus of us and that is why the loading screen was bugged. really sucks all my mages can not join as i need some of the items on them. i just made a video of doing it with 4 frost dk's and my hpally

I got 7k gold an hour for like 5 hours >_>

I wonder why they over-nerf content like this. ~100g a kill might have been a little ridiculous in hindsight for them, especially with multiboxers taking advantage of such an easy boss. But cutting it so that each person in the group only gets a single gold per run is kind of far, and removes most of the incentive to repeatedly do the boss. Less people compelled to do the boss, the longer the average queue time. It's a shame, really.
Would there have really been anything wrong with cutting it back to 25-35g? It's not like it was a completely effortless task, people still had to spend the time to earn the gold. Oh well.
Think they dropped it solely to reduce load on their instance servers? It certainly did dissuade a lot of people from continuing to queue.

I killed him like 30 times yesterday with a druid (bear) + 4 shamans (3x ele, 1x resto) - only 2 or 3 times I'd say that the healer was really required. Considering that switching the resto to elemental would increase my dps further I'd say he is killable without a healer in most cases. Depending on your group setup your problem might be that you cant queue up in DF without a healer.
How on earth is this whole nerf linked to multiboxers in any way?
I farmed this boss for about 2-3 hours with my guildies... sure I ended up with less gold then if I did it alone, but we had some fun and talked shit on vent.
This "exploit" as they called it has no bearing in any way on multiboxers, it's just a weak "exploitable" design.

Damn, I missed the boat on free gold. Oh well.
I did this easily with my DKs. I did 1x Blood, 3x Frost all in PvP 371 gear, and pugged a healer. The healer wasn't really needed but whatever. Killed him in 38 seconds.
I also did this with my Paladin + 3x Elemental Shaman + 1x Resto Shaman all in iLevel 348 gear. It was easy, but healing was required as my gear is a tad low.
I also did it with my 5x arcane mages. I queues with my tank + healer, kicked both then invited my 2 other mages.
I blew all my cool downs, including time warp, and killed him in 14 seconds
Coren only has 1.3 million health or so.
I wasn't linking this to us, or why it got nerfed to us. We were the ones that benefited the most, however. All my post said was that it was an oversight especially when you factor in the multiboxers that were benefiting from it, and that it was over-nerfed. It was an observation.
If you read the last line of my post you'll see that I actually blame the nerf on them wanting to reduce the load on their instance servers. People were hitting them pretty hard while farming this boss, and they were having trouble keeping them stable. Please don't overreact.
