Default done with mboxing; help me find new games :)

    Hello

I've been away from mboxing for some time, recently tried back with Cataclysm, and found out it might not be for me anymore.

I've been feeling the age within me bringing changes. I find myself liking more mature games now.

Recently I started playing penumbra, and yes I did play it previously but was too lazy to read any of the letters in the game. Now I'm reading them all, and the story truly unfolds. I find meself liking this alots.

So to those who have left multiboxing, what games have you made the jump to? Other than the game you were multiboxing (if you continue to play it) of course.

    Thank'ee.

I quit multiboxing about 2 months before Cata released and haven't boxed anything since. Went to Rift and it's just WOW all over again with endless grinds.

Guild Wars 2 looks promising. It has a dynamic questing experience and does away with traditional questing. You just participate in events and can even do multiple things within those events.

SWTOR is also on the horizon. Not sure of if it will be boxable. even if it isn't- it's going to be an awesome experience. The fully voice acted quests really pull you into the story. Leveling is like playing a singleplayer game in many ways but you can group.

Right now I've been having a blast playing Dead Island. It's a horror survival RPG and was amazingly fun. If you like Penumbra- you'd like Dead Island. You'd also like Amnesia from the creators of Penumbra. Amnesia even has a demo.

Uhmm... Witcher 2 was AMAZING if you missed it. Deus EX HR is pretty good too. Another game I had quite a bit of fun with is E.Y.E. the Divine Cybermancy.

Skyrim and RAGE are two more AAA titles about to come out and will be amazing.

I'll always love multiboxing and hope there will be a point to box again. It just seems like times are changing, MMOs are changing too. If SWTOR is boxable I'll probably do it again. Just waiting for that next new thing since WOW worth the investment to me.

P.S. I turned 40 last May and understand what you mean btw...

That's good to read, just downloaded it.

Somewhat in the similar situation, quit wow. But now I have like 1/10 of the free time I used to have last year, so there's not really a big gap.

    Good topic!

Age of Empires Online (its ok, nothing impressive).

    Waiting for Elder Scrolls 4.
I am excited for Guild Wars 2 as well.

Im still multiboxing alot but on the side im playing dead island and deus ex 3, really enjoying them.

Games im most looking forward to: GOW3, uncharted 3, tomb raider, BF3, Mass Effect 3, Skyrim.
Its approaching October, November where we are bombarded with an insane amount of games again.
No other MMO games seem to have me interested.

Just supporting suggestions already in this thread:

    -Terraria (addictive)
    -Deus Ex HR
    -Dead Island
    -Battlefield Bad Company 2 (multiplayer)
    -Dead Space 2
The poetry that comes from the squaring off between,
And the circling is worth it,
    Finding beauty in the
    dissonance
