What do you all think about the new AMD FX chips?
They're 8 core chips, seems like it would be great for running multiple mmo programs at once for multiboxing.

There is so much speculation on these chips I would recommend waiting for the NDA to lift and reputable sites
to do real benchmarks before even thinking of touching them. Sandy Bridge - Extreme is right around the
corner after that anyway, however, those chips will come with the same extreme price tags that they always do.
Is there any good reason atm to have an extreme chip? I mean the current i5-7s seem more than enough for anything out there. I mean with a good GPU+ a core i7 your good to go. I'm talking just for gaming.

From a multiboxing stand point... no, not with the current 2600/2700 Intel chips. In my "testing" I was able to
successfully play 30 accounts at once and I wasn't necessarily CPU limited. The system itself became quite
sluggish somewhere around the 20 game client mark but the games were still responsive. If anything I was
limited by my RAM and not how many cores I had.
am hopeing they will be good a lot told me not to go for AMD but i really like my hex core and am cheep so i have to get the low end lintel stuff or AMD. its a hard choice what to go for but each time AMD..
bachmark test and all the hardcore stuff will be test as always
