Default Going from 3 to 5

    Greetings Boxing Community,

I have been a lurker for too long and want to throw some questions out. Any help you can provide is very much appreciated.

    1. To begin, I am making the plunge today and going from 3 accounts to 5. When I had 3, I ran them on one computer using keyclone. I set up another computer yesterday and am hoping it (Athlon XP 2100+, 1.5.gigs ram, ATI 9700) is fast enough to run the other two accounts. Any thoughts as to whether or not it will work?

    2. In terms of classes I have been looking through many of the threads and saw a couple 1xpriest / 4xmage videos that were encouraging in terms of instances. I figure all undead to have one more way out of fear situations. Anyone done any 1 priest/4 mage pvp have any input. I could go with 5 shammies, but already have 3 shammies and dont really want to raise up two more unless you guys think the fear situation will be too much or too annoying to deal with. Your thoughts?

    3. Last question/concern...I would like to level through instancing since it appears that it will be faster that way. How far can i go with priest/mage aoe? I saw a video of hellfire ramparts with 1priest/4mages aoeing. They were 64/65 or so and did everything but the last boss.

Because in the end game I would like to have a group of 5 that can do pvp together, I am trying to stay away from my original idea of Pal/Pri/Mag/Mag/Mag, but I do want to confirm that I can still handle the instances.

As I said earlier, thanks in advance for any advice/opinions you can provide. Take care.

Why don't you just try it with two of the accounts you already have.

Last night I set it up and did just that with overlapping windows, but I don't think I can get a true feel for whether or not it will work unless I get a keyclone account for that computer and test it out. However, I didn't want to buy Keyclone for that computer unless I could get an idea in advance that it would work. If the specs look ok, I'll just fork over the $20 and give it a shot.

    Thanks.

I assume you mean can it run all 5 at once? I can definitely tell you that you will have problems with 1.5G of RAM. I had 2G and 5 accounts was OK out in the world, but would turn into a slide show in orgrimmar. I think you'd be pretty limited with that amount of RAM.

If you got more RAM, I bet you could do it assuming you downsized the 4 "slaves" far enough.
No matter where you go, there you are.

    1. No idea.

    2. This whole thing (multiboxing) largely started with Xzin's setup of priest + 4 mages, and reaching the "then" title of High Warlord. You won't be able to instance in Outlands with this setup. You'll be able to go crazy in battlegrounds, but areans will be another challenge. You need to define "PvP' (BGs vs Arenas). But you need to make your choices alone. Only you can fully understand what YOU want out of it.

    3. Leveling in stances has its place, but just blasting through quests is extremely fast now with the 2.3 changes.
Thanks for the help. I would love to be able to do AV and instance, with AV being the priority, but it doesn't look like both can happen. It looks like I need to choose either an instance group or a pvp group.

In your opinion, how will the leveling grind be with this setup? Honestly, I care more that it's a fun grind with the setup than how long it takes.

Can you provide an opinion as to my fear dilemma? It seems like an issue that is brought up a lot and it seems shamans can deal with it well. How frustrating will it get for the priest/mages with both WotF and a trinket?

    Thanks.

Thanks for the input. Actually, I just want to run two accounts on the computer listed above. On my main computer I can run the other three with no problems.

to run just 2 wows? yes.. i would imagine it would work no problem. especially since you can adjust the maxfps and maxfpsbk

If you're rolling a PvP group, and undead are an option, ALWAYS ROLL UNDEAD> WotF cannot be matched. Fear won't be that big of a deal once you get used to using the trinket and WotF (and all priests get Fear Ward now too! so you can always have it on your main to avoid fear bombs and do instant counter-fear bombs )

if you learn to AoE farm with the mages, you can get to 45(ish) in like 18 hours /played. You can get to 60 in a weekend. Its boring as all hell, but you can grind XP like its going out of style.
Thanks again. When you are talking about AOE farming with the mages, are you referring to instances? I figure it will be hard to find enough normal mobs that respawn fast enough in the outdoors. I have seen lots of leveling guides, but not one that would seem to go with 5xAOE, aside from instances of course.

Also, I have a 39 priest...should i use one of the other accounts as my main and make a new priest to start with the new mages? Will it be faster or slower to use the 39 priest and kill everything in site?

    Thanks.

OMG, well, I failed at this once when I made the second account. Thanks! I will do it right with the next two accounts.

Thanks for the input regarding the two windows as well.

    I am running a 4 man team as my PC would most likely melt if i tried 5 - Priest , 2 x Locks , 1 mage.

For instancing I would highly recommend swapping in at least 1 warlock into yr team - an improved Voidwalker has proven a worthy tank so far, plus you get wipe protection with soulstones, and once you get portals you will be able to literally 'pop' back to a major city with yr main to empty bags or train and then summon him straight back.

I havent really tried any AoE grinding yet, but my locks hit 30 last night and got Hellfire so I shall be trying it out soon - i will keep you posted
