Better Strat for 4 boxing Node based BGs (EotS / AB / Gilneas)
I'm still gearing up, so my ability to take out 4+ players is not quite there yet. Especially when most of my opponents are full 371+ PvP gear. The problem I'm running into is node based BGs (EotS / AB / Gilneas) is that if I go to a node, the other team sends enough to easily counter me. Between being under geared and terrible PUGs who just want to follow me around and harass me, it seems like any of these BGs are an instant loss as soon as the other team stacks wherever I go. The best strategy I've found is to sit at an easily defensible node however that pretty much sits me out of the BG the entire time.
Is this just how it's going to be until I gear up a bit more and have some more killing power?

Its all dependent on the group you are playing with and against. Most of the time i just roamed capped until we had 3 then i would roam defend whichever is getting attacked.
Some games are just hopeless when your team wants to follow you around and watch instead of helping. But no real point in defending if you only have like 1 or 2 nodes. Edit : Arathi basin. Eots you can successfully defend 2 nodes aslong as you're capping

In the 3 BGs you've mentioned I've found eots to be the easiest, saying in /bg to ppl to take our towers and have a healer go with me to one of their towers, and then proceed to the next one trying to cap all 4, usually works.
For gilneas i try to def both LH and WW at same time, since ppl will never stay at one spot.
Ab im not even gonna bother talking about because it's crap and I usually just run around slowing them down :P
About the gear I bought the blue craftable gear 7-10k all in all I think ?, but imo it was worth it.
Also I've started to find a healer to go with in trade helped a bunch.

Before I had gear I just defended one node. As I started getting more gear and more confident I would then switch to attack mode. Being that DKs are super easy to whip the competition in PvP I found I could do that earlier than my shaman team could... I'm still working on them and they don't have many spots missing 371 gear.

Yeah, gear is coming along, slowly. I've been farming AV mostly and losing quite a bit.

I'm not fully enchanted because I'm waiting to get the 371 gear. I need to respec and make sure everyone's similarly specced. Toyed of the idea of going 1 as UH.

i had decent success in lower brackets using Blood spec. No clue how that would fair at max level though.

AB / Gilneas / SOTA are the most i lose on even with the gear i just find the other group will know where i am and send all there players to the other ones and take them normally they win very fast the few i do win is because someone will let me be the rolling road block it goes down to luck gear and what you got with you,,,,,,, sucks but it works a few times i can not win a game at all in a day this is when i wish i had a more fun group then try it a bit later and get my win for the day.
But gets very stessful when am getting pick of at the GY by a few hunters and a few frost mages nukeing CC at me by the time i kill them they won the game in Gilneas 30secs to win if you can cap all 3

My Eots stats are 220 wins - 10 losses.
This is with pala + 4dk.
Its just too easy with 5 box. I guess 1 player more makes the difference. Capping bases is very fast.
My basic strategy is to keep 3 bases and forget about the flag. I go for the 3rd base from the start depending about which one of the enemy bases has less players. I always stay on ground level and deathgrip players one by one until its neutral (grey). Also its harder for other enemy base to see me from distance. I usually keep off from the middle route to avoid enemy detection.
After initial start with 3 bases its easy to check the state of other 2 bases by moving a little and if they get swarmed then just move to that 1 enemy base and capture it.
Edit: Usually I dont have to heal much in Eots, so essentially its just important to have 5 people running together so capping bases goes fast. I think Eots is the ultimate bg map for DKs.
