    Default Feedback on ibuypower?

Do any of you have any first-hand recent experiences with ibuypower? The feedback I've found is mostly a couple years old.

I'm buying a new rig with the intention of 8-boxing SWTOR. However, I'm undecided about buying it from Falcon Northwest or ibuypower. It's going to be the first time I'm buying from either one. Falcon seems to have a good reputation for build quality and support but their prices are much higher than ibuypower which seems to have a mixed reputation for build quality and bad reputation for support.

    Any feedback would be appreciated.

Co-worker bought a computer there a while back and had nothing but problems. Of course it was a smoke filled environment and hes a complainer.

I myself have never ordered from them but i visit their site often.

Ibuypower is just like Cyberpower PCs. They both depend on mass sales and can sometimes build you PC, ship it and give a 3 year warranty for less than you can build one your self. I'm guessing they have to cut corners somewhere to be able to do that.
Currently 5 Boxing 5 Protection Paladins on Whisperwind Alliance

build your pc on ibuypower, go to newegg and buy the parts, put it together yourself.

Let them hate, as long as they fear.

Thanks for the advice, but I'd rather buy it from a company.

I would not buy from ibuypower ever again. I had nothing but problems. The heatsink was put on with the worst thermal paste known to man, I swear it must have been toothpaste. Being pissed, I made them replace the heat sink and cpu as it was ruined. They returned it to me with no heat sink. 3rd times the charm right?

    WRONG

They sent it back in parts with instructions on how to put it back together.

My friend bought a new laptop from them, it came with a refurbished GFX card and HDD, and when they acted up, they said there was nothing they could do about it as the parts were no longer made, and told her she had to pay the difference for the upgrades.

if you are looking to buy a PC pre-built stay away from ibuySHITpower

A site that builds computers for a substantially cheaper price than its competitors doesn't mean that they have
access to awesome bulk manufacturer prices. It usually means they cut (most likely necessary) corners in one
or more areas which are much more convenient for them and not so much for you.

When I was in the process of getting spec ready for my currently pc, I did some research on Ibuypower and Cyberpower.
I spent about 3 weeks scouring consumer sites getting any feedback I could on both, as well as Digital Storm.

I couldn't find many people singing their praises that were not tied to some sort of media (magazine or site).
In fact on the normal consumer sites I don't remember finding anything positive about them.

Digital Storm on the other hand. I found them to be over-overwhelmingly positive.
I did decide to go the Amazon route and build it myself.

Amazon over New egg because I have an Amazon prime account which means free 2 day shipping on most stuff. In my case all item were free shipping.

This. Putting a computer together isn't rocket science, and it is a rewarding experience (also cheaper).
