How random is LFD?

Hi,

Something I've been wondering for a long time now: How Random is the Random Dungeon finder?
Let me try to explain:
I'm able to complete 8 of the 9 Cata Heroics now, the only one I fail in at the moment is the last boss in Grim Batol.
The dungeon that pops up most of the time now, is, Grim Batol.
When I was unable to complete Stonecore, Lost City (first boss) and Throne of Tides, those were among the dungeons that showed up. They do show up once in a while, but not that often anymore as before.
Haven't seen VP or SFK in a loooooong time showing up.
Is the system keeping track of what dungeons you (or members) have completed, and it picks the one with the lowest number of completion ?
Blizz says it doesn't work that way, I think it is at least suspicious.
Anybody else feeling this way?

I thought it has something to do with the ilevel of your toons. perhaps it puts you into gb more often because you out gear the others?

or it could boil down to bad RNG.

It isn't random at all. Blizzard is trying to force you to clear all their oh so awesome instances. Once you cleared one, you literally never get it again as long as you got some instances you never cleared before.

Back when you had to discover instances to be able to queue for them, you could cheat the system by not discovering any instances at all, so you had a 50:50 chance for either DM or SFK. You've been able to add any instance you liked by discovering its entrance.
They changed that later on and since you no longer have to discover the entrances, am not bothering at all. Most cata instances are a royal pita and not fun at all imo.

Thats impressive if you clear all heroics except that one. Could you post some videos and strats on how to clear some of the harder ones? I gave up on all the hard ones because I was tired of wiping.

Which one do you want to know? My fights aren't frapsworthy, some of them are really messy.

So do you put up with wipe after wipe to clear them? Or do you have them on farm? I don't mind wiping to clear a harder instance. But if its a lot of wiping mixed with a lot of luck, i don't bother.

Most of them are on farm, in the DM i'm having some problems with the nightmare phase to get back to the ship, can't do that without at least 1 wipe. (glubtok's nightmare)
The others I'm able to do without wipe.
Sometimes I do wipe at stuff I'm able to clear for a long time, mostly because I forget something.
