Of course someone complaining about Multiboxing, but mentions keyclone specifically. Another person responded with some blue replies on the subject, one is as follows:

Let me clear this example up for you. What I mean by "automated targeting and casting" was a program that runs independently, and targets and casts for you, while you run around using your keyboard and mouse. If you are controlling all the input, and doing all of the work, and that signal is being sent to different keyboard ports directly to the game, with no in-between augmentation of the input commands, then that is fine.

    Thanks,

    Celunduil
That got me wondering about the whole keymapping thing. Since you're inputting one command, but it's sending another. Then again I don't think they have any "set in stone" policy on multi-boxing and most CM's/GM's will interpret it(botting/multiboxing line) their own way.

the dividing line is automation. a filter is not automation and keymaps are a filter.

are your glasses automating your vision? hardly... but they do adjust what is received by your eye.

it is very concerning that people have such a problem distinguishing between automation and mechanisms/machinery

Are KeyClones Round Robin keys legal in WoW?

^ Topic on the same kind of thing.

Here's a metaphor: Your brain decides what you want your character to do, and your fingers let you push up to 10 different buttons. Fingers are hax!

Rather offtopic but it's funny / really sad to see people whining about multi boxing, and on teh second page you find the same people asking: "wait .. they buy 5 accounts for their own use ?"

So they don't have a clue about multi boxing....

If people would just take some time and learn their abilities and use them at the right times, and work together ... Then they won't get owned in PvP. People having a big mouth about us doing instances should just be insta banned cos they lack skills both ingame and social so they can't get a group together...

And for my own sake: got to stop reading all them emo posts about multi boxing :cursing:

actually, round robin is another type of filter. pass or not pass.

    no automation.

then again... the entire computer is automating your tasks by accepting input and routing it accordingly. and if round robin were an issue, i think somewhere in the last 2 years wow might have said something.. it's a feature that has existed since i first released it

    Default fear

They will continue to fear (and hate) that which they do not understand... and or 'can't overcome'.

When they realize that 'multi-boxing' doesn't exactly provide anybody with an 'unfair advantage', then they will shut up (as most corpses should). Multi-boxing is not 'unfair' as it is something that 'anyone' (and/or everyone) can/could do. It's available to all. They should not be angry at the person who killed them with their multi-boxed army, they should instead be mad at themselves for not bringing an army of their own to the fight.

    ...

The benefits and joys to multi-boxing are only as limited as the imagination of the user... and the numbers of the opposing faction that you find on the battlefield.

    Q u o t e:

It doesn't take long to realize they're all dependent to an extent on the main character.
Take him out and you win.

That's not what this is about though so get off of the BS mudslinging, it's incorrect,
    and misplaced.
No, that is what this is about. Because otherwise you are just trying to narc on someones fun. Either way you slice it, you need to mind your own business.

    Quit snitchin.
One of the best replies I've seen on those forums. Made me grin, cause we do deal with a whole lot of snitching. I think that's one of the reasons we have positive support from Blizzard. We're up-front about what we're doing, explain things whenever we're asked nicely, and put forth a friendly attitude to people even when they're rude to us.

Default The SHAT we put up with

As you all know, having to costantly explain that you're characters are not BOTs or Chinese Farmers does take some fun away from the game.

Ignorance and hate is never a good environment, virtual or not. Being a Multiboxer gaurantees you are going to be subject to this type of experience. On the bright side, mowing people down with three characters at 70 is a exponentially more fun then a lvl 19 twink with 2k HP.

To go off subject a little bit and get away from the negativity I wanted to share my greatest experience yet...

Last night I was Bg'ing, trying to gear up my Tribox shammies. Thery'e are godly in their 83 resilience and 440 +dmg...lawl. The power of teamwork often takes me to the top of the board, and in this EoS session it seemed every Alliance was running around with a sign "Kill Me Next PLZ." So as I destroyed alliance and we capped towers it wasnt long before it was a 4 cap and gg.

    Then I get a whisper:
<ownedbyele> You are the first multiboxer I have seen in WoW and OMG your awesome!

I shift click to find out its a level 1 who had enough respectto give me some props for the amount of work I have put in these toons and who actually shared in my belief that its the coolest thing since sliced bread!
