buy cheap cata greens from the AH, you can equip most of them from lvl 78/79. Should nearly double your stats.

Have a friendly blacksmith make you the lvl 80 plate set (for the DK's at least). The mats shouldn't cost a lot.

yeah just got 3 of the Redsteel set and a set of Stormforged made up today
