    Default Multiboxing with dedicated server?

Ahem. Im not in a position where I have a lot of money, I would likely have to save for 12+ months to be able to afford a good computer.. a path wich im not sure I want to take, especially since I play mostly on the PTR's - given the fact that the PTR's are open only on certain times of the year, those specs would go waste most of the time anyway + higher electrical bill

So, seeing as some Quad Core servers can be rented for about 100~ euros with about 4gb ram. Does anyone have any experience of using such servers before(I mean, not neccessarily in multiboxing)? Do you think it's a good idea, is the hardware on those servers suitable for gaming?

    Thanks!

well i woudl look into OVH.com there a lot cheeper for there kimstuff and will give you a lot more ram the prob with servers is unless your luckey they be useing onboard gfcards you can not do much in RDC you have to use VNC pcanywhere app and you would need a good internet con you or though can windows server for free though.

to be fair i would not really do this but it might work i would put the money into hardware or it must me a lot where u live as it olny costs 2 months renting out a server to buy somethink of the same specs,

Generally, server hardware is designed for a completely different set of requirements than gaming systems. Usually, GUI responsiveness/performance is secondary to disk/network speed and latency.
    Now playing: WoW (Garona)

Using VNC or similar software is a pain to play. I tried setting it up so I could monitor the AH for good deals from work, but gave up on that. So not sure that is the path to take.

I guess I'll have to abandon the idea unless I find a host that allows you to configure graphics card. Probably not worth to take the risk if the card is 128mb something and not capable of running WoW.. but thank you all for the replies
