From the Blues post about the transmogrifier and the void bank it seems that you will need to have the item you want your piece to look like and the void bank is a way to store it without taking up space. Not a bad idea but it could be annoying for pieces that can't be gotten any more (eg can old Naxx gear still be gotten elsewhere?)

What annoys me about it though is they can expand the db to fit all the new tables and relations in for this but they still can't give us more slots per server.

i guess they restrict the transmogrifier to items you have (or had?) to make sure not everybody instantly looks like they are wearing Tier37874 the minute it's out.
You will need to actually get that piece to be able to display it on other of your items

The way I read it is that it will work for weapons as well, they just have to be of the same type: 2h axe>2h axe and 1h sword>1h sword. 2h mace skin can't be applied to 2h sword model. Or did I read that wrong? I'm definitely goin after that hunter gun from Kara for my hunter's current gun. I can deal with the sounds, I've got the silencer sound file from Curse to replace the original gun blast from Blizz. Glad I held on to my season 8 Gladiator set too, I loved that one. I'm wondering what the restrictions on gear requirements are goin to be for these, such as the new Cata gems can't be placed in anything lower than ilvl 285 and such.

Similarly, they won’t allow you to change weapon or armor types. Sneaky death knights can’t make that breastplate look like a cloth robe, and you can’t make a one-handed axe look like a two-handed axe, or transform a sword’s appearance into that of a mace. Guns, bows, and crossbows will be the exception to this rule. You will finally be able to retain your dwarf’s racial gun bonus while appearing with all the splendor and elegance of a bow wielder (or at least the relative silence of one).

Also, Darkmoone? will it be a permenant location? So people can do the "Insane" title in what? 2 weeks now? This, I dislike.

It dosn't matter if the fair is open all month. Getting the materials to make 100 or so decks to get to exhaulted is the problem. Hopefully they will add some decent perk so that getting the insane title isn't the only reason to get exhalted.

I knew there was a good reason I kept my old tier gear in my bank Though I'm assuming that at first, we have to have the item in our possession that we want our current item to look like, but eventually I'd like to think that any gear previously obtained would be available. I foresee lots of old world raids forming... Maybe even old tier gear purchaseable with justice points?

hopefully they change the part where you need to have the old gear to get that look. I do not mind spending thousands of gold to get a certain look. I never raided back in the day nor did I finish a complete dungeon set. this is pretty much useless to me if you are not hardcore raiding or dungeon runner. Although I guess I will just have to see what happens on the PTR and release day before I make any strong judgements about this.

Well doesnt take a hardcore player to get some cool TBC gear from raids, specielly not when you are a multiboxer
