LOL, I love that.
Yeah, in theory people can do stuff that seems overpowered. But the game will have rulesets and conditions that stop that. What stops a rogue from just backstabbing you every .001 secs and you die.. Well, GCD is one thing, and his energy is another. I haven't played SWTOR yet. But imagine that a jedi has a energy bar just like a rogue. Imagine that a jedi can do powers, but only after he charges up something with smaller spells (think ramp up time with WOW chars), similar to rogue's combo points.
Imagine that a bounty hunter (ranged and jumping ability) could just jump up and keep attacking you, but you can't jump up and hit him (you are melee). He could just kite you and kill you. Yeah, that can happen, it is a counter to you, but you are probably a counter to something else. At least that is how I hope they do things. SW Galaxies supposedly had a OP class (jedi) and that didn't work out so well. WOW has even had times with classes OP. I just hope they notice it and fix it.
For me, it feels different than WOW. It has a different playstyle (choose good or bad). Maybe I am just deluding myself and can't spell, so good and bad in SWTOR is just rep from WOW. Same thing just spelled differently. How they respond to things that people want is what matters to me. 6 Years to get an "apperance tab" is too long. 6 years to get a LFR interface is too long. 6 Years to allow crazy more storage is too long. I hope SWTOR can make changes faster.
