    Default Finally, new rig

In this thread http://www.dual-boxing.com/showthread.php?t=44989 I talked about buying a HP computer, but after reading the comments and informing me a bit more I just built myself a new rig:

    - Gigabyte GA-Z68XP-UD3
    - Intel Core i7-2600K
    - Antec Sonata IV + 620 Watt PSU
    - 16 GB RAM
    - Card Reader
    - Sata DVDRW
    - WD Caviar Green 1TB 7200 rpm 64 MB
    - Asus ENGTX460 DirectCU G/2DI/1GD5 (1GB GDDR5)
    - Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit dutch

I think this will be a much better project than the HP.

    Cheers J

Well, so far, it's running like a train.
Still transferring data and installing programs, Wow will be last to transfer but indeed very happy with it.

    To the OP:

On a side note, what Sam is saying is true to an extent. Depending on your video settings that you're going
to use in game you may run out of VRAM using a 1GB card if you want to use DX11.

I use a custom window swapping macro for my Character Sets which turns up settings on my main and
lowers them on my alts with a 60/20 FPS cap. Here are my VRAM stats below:

Initial Log In @ Orgrimmar (Custom Video Settings)(No Multisampling)

That's an initial log in at 1.4GB worth of VRAM. I didn't move from where I logged in, I didn't spin the
camera, and not a single playable character was on my screen besides my four alts standing next to me.

Initial Log In @ Elwynn Forest (Custom Video Settings) (No Multisampling)

That's an initial log in at 1.1GB worth of VRAM. I didn't move from where I logged in, I didn't spin the
camera, and there were only two playable character that were on my screen besides my four alts standing
    next to me.

Initial Log In @ Elwynn Forest (Fair Video Preset) (No Multisampling)

That's an initial log in at 939MB worth of VRAM using WoW's built in Fair preset on all 5 game windows. I
didn't move from where I logged in, I didn't spin the camera,
and there were only two playable character
that were on my screen besides my four alts standing next to me.

Reading articles on other hardware forums can be misleading for us multiboxers. On numerous other forums
people ask if they should get a video card with lots of VRAM and everyone's reply is, "No, you'll be fine with
the vanilla 1GB/1.2GB/1.5GB card unless you're using 3D Surround or Eyefinity to play your game." While
their replies are completely true for a normal user... multiboxers aren't "normal" users. 1.5GB is most likely
just fine for almost anyone's needs who wishes to play using DX11. 1GB in your case could be cutting it
close depending on how much eye candy you want on the screen as you can see from my pics above. You're
going to have to play with your video settings to see what you and your video card are comfortable at.
