How to skill a 5-Mage-Team

Hi,

i play 5 Mages and i have no idear how to skill them.

I thought i skill one to frost (for slowing) and the rest to fire...

What do you think?

Thought it was Arcane all the way? Atleast my experience is that Arcane performs better for multiboxing than fire.

Only PvE (Level and Ini)...

You can quest pretty easily with 5x frost by having one do a freeze then the other four do an ice lance. You can do instances pretty easily now too thanks to the buffed ice barrier.

While questing you do NOT need any sort of snare from frost. In fact, it would slow you down as you would have to walk further to loot the mob if it wasn't instant killed.

PvE is archane and PvP is Fire to my way of thinking.

And what is the Dmg-Spell to use in Arkane?

At Level 23, i only habe 3 Damage-Spells:

1 with focus
1 AE
1 which stacks 4 times +10% (i think the neglish name is arcana blast)

Sorry, i dont know the spellnames in english...

Is it the spell which make 10% more damgage for every stack?

At Level 23, i only habe 3 Damage-Spells:

Sorry to jump into this so late, but at level 23 an arcane mage has Arcane Blast, Arcane Barrage and Arcane Explosion. That's pretty much all you need the rest of the way to 85. You can level as any spec (5 mages will fry pretty much anything in two casts) but arcane will do the most damage. Anything that manages to survive five Arcane Blasts will die a split second later when you cast Arcane Barrage or (if they happen to be close) Arcane Explosion.

AoE for large groups of mobs can also be a good way to earn extra experience in the lower levels and at various points afterwards (the quests in Deepholm where you have to kill the troggs that are busy fighting the stone dwarves is ridiculously fast and safe AoE experience).

If you are on a pve server then arcane should work great. I go with frost for ice barrier so when that pesky rougue open up with a backstab it's not a one shot. As I said before you can easily do a cone of cold on one then ice lance immediately after which gives them all the shatter bonus and a mob ready to loot by the time you are in range.
