Default Isboxer - Melee's going crazy

    Hey folks,

Anyone experienced there melee's running around crazy like?

I think it probably has to to with my IWT settings. I press IWT, they go out, then they just seem to keep on going?

Perhaps a symptom or a clue as to what went wrong w/ my set-up is that for a given toon, the lead, the screen will start to rotate so that my view, driver, is changed so that the toon is running at an approximate 30 degree angle from the normal view.

    Any clues?

    Oh - I'm running 4 frost dks.

IWT will frequently end up with your guys running around like a pack of rabid wolverines unless they are already in melee range and the mob doesn't move during the fight. That's just how it works.

hmmm.... I'll check my settings/config. Tks for the info.

By the way, I'd like to see you're 5 mage box tutorial but content doesn't appear to show up at your link, unless its a security group thing....

Well, that tutorial was made during WoW 2.0 or something, so it's probably quite outdated. The basics still apply but unless we've got a backup of the wiki still lying around somewhere, it's probably gone for good. I looked through my backups here at the house and I don't see it anywhere (thanks, Carbonite).

You can't avoid the swarming effect for melee IWT unless you are manually (or through an additional key map step) stopping their movement with a back key, for example. The swarming occurs because the target is moving.

you can... There are many methods to accomplish this.
    Heres one:
I created an ATG for melee, edited DPS1 within ISBoxer, to include IWT. Wrote a macro for castsequences and put that macro on number 1 and 2.

Press 1, then start spamming 2.

If the mob moves. my spam finger hits 1 then 2 in less than .5 seconds. Incredibly simple and no more swarming of melee groups

Yes, this does provide a workaround if you don't mind adding _another_ key to an already busy hotbar.

Though, some consider the swarming an added bonus, especially against casters.
