Running back now is pretty tame, running through the instance is the longest part of the run now a days. There are graveyards right next to the portals usually. Not to mention the teleport out of dungeon, teleport back into dungeon to meet up with the newly rezed so your not app separated. Plus there are few respawns now.

Any gimmicks, like a Twister Nether card or something wouldn't be worth your time since it would likely gimp you 1000+ spell damage.

If I died on a lot of boss kills 5dps no healer/hybrid, but got the boss down, that would likely be success to a lot of people.
