The Old Republic is coming out soon - that's one reason why.

And, well Wow has been getting old for a while.

I think its a bit early for Swotor to be having an effect, maybe Rift though.

I'm fairly certain rift is declining as well.

WoW subs were increasing again after the post-WotLK dip. They surged immediately after Cataclysm and are now below pre-WotLK levels. Even new subscribers can't make up for the tide of folks leaving.

A lot of us have played since 2004 - 2005 and after six years shit gets old. I know I haven't played since January after having five subs active for most of WotLK. Cataclysm just didn't motivate me the way that Wrath did.

I am in exactly the same boat. Been playing for a long time. Starting boxing in BC then quit this past January. I never bought Cata though, I saw what a load of crap it was and stayed away.

I'm sure the economy has a lot to do with people quitting too. I mean shit check out the Dow today

I wonder if this surprises anyone though. It's pretty inevitable that people get boring of a game.

    Yup.

Hopefully, they will change certain dynamics about the game. Hopefully, they realize that easier gear/heroics/casual/dynamic(woltk) content means more subs than hardcore/grindy shit does.
