    Default Finally made it, kinda

    So i have 7 lvl 85s and 3 lvl 80s so i thought i'd try out Naxx.
I rolled through most of it, except for 4 horsemen and kel'thuzad.
Seems going from 5 to 10 is going to be as big of a macro headache as when i started boxing, so that part is gonna suck.
Also i haven't made the switch from KC to ISboxer, but i'm gonna try to be the first to use keyclone to do everything.

Really just posting about my first raid by myself and tooting my own horn about naxx, i know it's not a big deal now days.
Kel'Thuzad will go down tomorrow after i fix my macros a little bit, and then it's on to VoA and ICC.

Oh and if any 10 boxers have any advice about switching from 5 to 10 i would much appriciate it.

    Thanks

Some or all of this you already know.

In Jamba or whatever your macro manager is, classifying the same series of rotations for each character: dpsBurst, dpsTrash, dpsAoeRanged, dpsAoeAlt, dpsBoss, dpsAllout, dpsGoTime dpsImmune, debuffBoss, etc etc, all with assists for tank, offtank, focus targets, all with proc variants, active spec, and healbot stopmacros in dps minus dpsAllout and debuffBoss (basically you have your healbot idle unless its allout dps time). For example basically stop making shaman and boomkin macros, make a GTFO macro for each class that does a typhoon, or thunderstorm. Then work how you want to execute GTFO's, all at once or in a rotation. This will greatly help you swap characters and roles. Which is a big part of many boxing.

With cata, this is pretty easy since the classes are homogenized. Minus some resource classes, but I guess ranged casters is where this fits more so.

After you get this done you can easily swap out characters, or character specs. If your keybindings are setup Backspace for dpsTrash no matter what the character you drop in, it should do its dpsTrash. So there is very little you need to do except invite the character to the group, change specs if needed equip the right gear. You may have to assign them a role such as off tank.

Setup rally2offtank, rally2healer, evacuate macros. Typically I drive my characters with the rallying point character and that character either is the main tank or that character is following the main tank (so in 5mans the warlock is the rally point)

This becomes second nature and you can easily swap this with the healer or offtank. So if some sort of massive fear bomb goes off, you don't rally to the tank, but rather to that aux rally point character (the warlock teleport comes in handy here) and your experience driving the aux character helps align things. Any characters you have that offer items you can rally to, don't forget about those.

Get very tight with aoe template work, this is where hotkeynote or isboxer is really needed, being able to hellfire, hurricane or whatever exactly where you want is very key.

Make a tanking cooldown rotation that works just like the "pros" have, you should be able to manage your tanking cooldowns just as good as some dorks in vent if not better. Shield wall, pain suppression, aoe heals, gift of the noob, hand of sacrifice. This should be all very doable if your 'classification' macros are setup right. auxTankLiveorDeath should be whatever that macro is with a dbm style raid timer broadcast, everytime you press that your multiplexer should step through and hit the next characters cooldown.

If you want to do this until 85 solo raiding, learning heroics was likely overly hard even with gear.

Get Weak Auras, read the ace forums for weak auras, make lots of weakauras macros of maybe even your own extensions to weakauras. Make some serious "PRESS G11 NOW TO LIVE" ghetto macros in weakauras, then improve them as you notice stuff.

For example with WeakAuras you can actually look at your raid DPS from Skada, you can look at your raid/group mana, you can look at the health of the target and you figure out if the fight is going well or not and give a eta on when the mob drops, when the mob is in execute. If you run a damage over time group, if you should transition now. I posted this on the ace forums for timetodie lua script for weakauras.

Setup world of logs, reduce idle time on characters, just be the most evil asshole drill sergeant raid leader to your idle characters and fix them. Some dorky character with low dps is fine, that can be fixed. But some glitched out 'facing' 'i cannot target that' 'thats not ready yet' ... that has to be stopped. A lot of that stops with having the rally points and some 'on keypress iwt, move forward , on release stop' stuff which will align everyone. to the tank target but not have then run off into the distance.

I never thought of driving the raid with the off tank, but that actually makes more sense than with the main tank since the ot will usually be moving around more.
I'm setting up the G keys to do exactly what you are talking about, one for each character, either that or just a simple /heal [target=focustarget] macro will probaly work in about the same time and will save me some keys if i need them.

Thanks for the break down, i've got a good idea of where i need to go to get this group in line, but it's like starting over somewhat going from 5 to 10. But i'm always up for a challenge, which is why we all started boxing in the first place.

    Thanks again
