    Default shaman chainheal

    Hi,
i have a question about shaman healing (macro).
I'm using only chainhealing on my dds and healer, by casting it on the healer himself.
I've also tried to cast it on another dd but if the toon dies, the macro doesn't work anymore.
I also don't like to have to manage a lot of healing macros for every char.
Movement is also a big problem for me, for example general husam, pickingup the chars by heavy damage income or bosses where u have to dispell before they heal themself up again.
I'm using dispell only on my tank.

How do u use to heal your group?
How do u manage movement bosses?
Is there any addon to make healing and managing the tons of macros easyer

    greetings

    You're using keyclone?
People who use isboxer can use repeater regions and heal with clicking.
How i heal is also with clique and grid running the healer as main.

For ur chain heal, i think you wont need a macro imo,
I used to do chain heal on the character itself.
If it needs the heal it will heal d spring to other chars if needed.. If not, u just heal urself

Movement however i have no freaking idea. Perhaps seperate buttons to do some movement.

Set up some macros in ISBoxer such as ALT+W to move all characters except the main forwards.

If you're not using IS Boxer, you can still use Repeater Regions via HKN.
Not sure what they're called in HKN, but Khatovar had an excellent post on how to set them up.

The basic idea is to use an addon or combination of addons.
    The choices are:
    a) Healbot
    b) Vuhdo
    c) Grid + GridCustomLayouts + Clique

Set up an alphabetical sort, so it is the same on all of your windows.
The healer will have the same toon in the top box as the tank, or any other toon.

I like the Grid because Grid Custom Layouts allows me to have my toons in column one.
And the rest of the raid in the other columns.
But functionally you should be able to achieve the same with any of the three addons (Healbot, Grid, Vuhdo).
    My set up is: http://www.dual-boxing.com/showpost....70&postcount=6

Position the Grid, so it is in the same position on all screens at once.
Mouse broadcasting is a good way to align them exactly the same.

Then you create a Repeater Region over the Grid.
And have it forward the mouse activity (including clicks, scroll wheel, modifier keys in combination with mouse buttons, etc), to the desired toon.

In practice, you notice a given toon needs a heal.
Because their Grid frame shows them taking damage.
Mouse over the frame, and click.
    Define which clicks do whatever.
Probably a click for a HOT, another for a fast emergency heal and another for an efficient heal.
Or however you want to go.

Healium is also an option as you can set up your buttons beside the character's name in a UI type interface. However I still mostly use clique + regular interface... I need to get back to grid and into repeater zones.

@darktown ... what is your party configuration? So the masses can come up with complete options for you.

    I don't know
I'm thinking about to start a paladin tank, 3 mages or affliction locks, and priest or druid healer, for magic dispell and aoe heal, while moving? this will be the best for cataclysm heroics i think.

Currently im collecting pionts from nonheroics and it takes a long time and i don't know will it work, when spending all my points into better gear.

My team is protection paladin, 3 elemental shamans, healing shaman
    I'm using octopus 1.3.8

Thank you for your replys, i will take a look at your addons anway.

    does this work?
    when u have a tank?

i'm trying healium and my mouse jumping arround when using clicks on octopus.
also the toon positions are on each client different, with healium ! so when i heal the dd, im healing the tank, something like this. Can u remove wow group display? so i would use only one.
thank you for your help, i'm learning from you.

Yes, you can run the healer as the main and have the tank as a slave. You just set the tank up with interact with target and run it like any other melee slave.

Most unit frame addons have a means to reorder the display of the toon list. The default unit frames do not.
