Same here. Then again I never pre-order games because it's a good bet that even if it's a game I am anticipating, I wind up not playing it at the start for some reason or other. If my RL friends decide to get it I'll make sure to buy it then, and they're not the sort to pre-order either.

But it does look interesting and I'm hopeful that they'll create something that I'll want to play for a while.

This is really nice. Though $149 for collector's edtion is kinda high. /sigh. I am 1 mile from a Gamestop and it opens in 2 hours. I am going to go to the store first and pre-order. I like to have a physical receipt for pre-orders. If they don't know what they are doing, then I will order online.

I am not a huge star wars fan myself, I am interested in playing something along side of WoW. I still enjoy WoW but would like to immerse myself in a different world with different lore. I seen a youtube video of a bounty hunter(?) on tatooie, and honestly did not look that fun. the area seemed very basic in terms of things to do, lack of mobs, and just overall boring. Maybe it was just tatooie that is like that and other planets are far better. In the games defense, I only seen just that video and the trailer for the game. So I will do some more reading/watching and wait to see how the game turns out.

Just a question for those in the know about the game, do you need to have extensive star wars lore knowledge to play this game? Like do the quests assume you know about star wars already and do not give any lore info when you accept a quest? This is my main concern with this game, I really do not want to have to read up on the lore before I play a game in that universe. I like how WoW does its lore, through quest and not giving away too much lore at once. They like to string you along :P

I am pretty sure if you didn't know what an Ewok was, you would be fine, you would just find out later on that they were the same people in the Return of the Jedi. EVERY, EVERY quest in SWTOR is voiced. And it is made by Bioware that likes for its chars to chat on and on about stuff. So if you are interested in lore, you should be fine with just the game. I think you can just skip the voice part if you don't want to wait for the chars to tell you how they washed their laundry last week... "Quest: Find clean clothes." Or how they have a very special diet and haven't eaten so good since they were on the farm back on ...... "Quest: Collect tasty grubs."
They put it in a different time period than the movies, but it can't hurt to watch them to get the general stuff.

I know a few things hehe. I did watch all the movies, but I am not "into" star wars like some people in the world. So I will just wait a a few or more months until the reviews come out, or should I say the "real" non-fanboy or WoW hating reviews come out.

thanks for the info and nice to see bioware making an MMO, although I would of hoped for a neverwinter nights MMO :P
