Default Wrath Expansion Question - CD-Rom vs DVD

I noticed someone on Amazon listed exactly 4 copies, unopened of wrath listed for $18. On impulse I called to verify they they were sealed, they said yes. Seemed like a no brainer. I purchased. I even got them to combine the shipping so it's only an extra $4.

However - after I ordered, I realized these are the CD-ROM versions. This should not matter at all? Correct? I never really install of the DVD's anyway, and I do already own a copy if I need it. I just want to make sure there won't be some silly upgrade issue with this. I'm 99.5% sure it won't matter, but I don't want to discover i did something stupid.

If it doesn't matter - than I guess one tip when looking for these is to search for the CD-ROM version. On amazon, it doesn't even come up until page 3.

You should just be concerned with the CDKEY (or rather the serial key). You can just download the entire vanilla+tbc+lk+cata game+patches from the battlenet site pretty quick anyways.

He's right. Some copies of LK and even BC were bad batches and could not be returned to stores for exchange. My cousin got a bad copy and didn't know till she tried to install it and it kept giving her an error on the last cd. One or more of the files that were needed were not written to the cd and couldn't complete it. Same with one of my LK copies when I upgraded my slaves. I didn't know this till months later when I needed to do a fresh install of the game and used one of them when I couldn't find my original copy and did not want to spend half the day downloading the client from b.net. After that point I said screw it and downloaded it anyway. As long as the serial key to activate the game is valid and unused, you'll be fine. I bought the hardcopies cause I wanted them for my collection. Next time I think I'll just buy the extra keys from the online b.net store if from Blizzard, or other from any other game manufacturer. That's if I ever multibox another game. Main copy will always be a hard copy where available, tho this might even change as they're putting less and less in the boxes now unless you buy the collector editions.
