True- and finding exceptions requires extensive searching and/or experimenting. At some point I might be tempted to go through the trouble of making a database (including party and self buffs) that stack, but where would I put it and who would be interested?

Thats a great link! Added it to my favorites list. The only difference between that and what I was thinking is how the information is presented, as in on this site, but a better option might be to keep that link up somewhere obvious (at least I haven't seen it other than in response to something I posted). Of course that's not for me to decide.

A link to the RaidComp is in my Newb's Guide to Multiboxing post. I wrote up a comparison guide when Cata was still in beta for people to use here until MMOChampion's was updated. No real need to reinvent the wheel, when the wheel someone else invented is already better.
