The way I see it is if you are able to multibox in WoW, you are smarter/more capable than 95% of WoW's community. Think about it, we have to keep track of 5 different characters, 5 different macro setups (depending on the group), 5 different rotations, heal and tank at the same time, so on and so forth. Not only that but we need basic computer knowledge to set it all up: symbolic links, hardware configs, software troubleshooting, networking (depending on software used). The average WoW player probably knows how to tie their shoes and stuff food in their mouth and probably doesn't have the mental capacity to do the stuff we do.

    One - tauren femanle paladin
    Sandman - troll female druid
    Jstsforall - orc male shaman
Fairytales - orc male shaman (I know, name change is iminent)

I'd run many several dungeons, dropped out Fairytales (higher level) and simply pick up a PUG. Surprisingly, very few people caught on that I was MBing. Yet when they do, only once did a guy refuse to leave the group, and refuse to participate..and just sat at the enterance.
I definitely noticed that when you run mixed races/classes/names that you are basically invisible. My melee teamed is like that and unless I was doing things in sync in the middle of town, no one ever realised I was multiboxing those 5 characters.

The poetry that comes from the squaring off between,
And the circling is worth it,
    Finding beauty in the
    dissonance
