Well it was easy for you...You get hate in game..come to these forums where you have legions of worshipers to make you feel loved and admired. So what little hate you receive you got 100 times the love here on the db forums!! I mean YOU are the reason most of us old school boxers started 5 boxing! 8)

I used to try and reason with haters..but you just can't. So now i mostly ignore them, or just /wave

I have my own ideas on things. I probably box to get away from idiots and/or people that don't actually do objectives in PVP. That is my goal in PVP, objectives. I love AV and WG (before matched sides kept me out). I liked being able to help do stuff while other people just wandered around. I knew how to us my locks to get people summoned for capital raids. I knew how to turn my team backwards facing the door to stop people rushing in while the rest of the raid fought the capital leaders. I didn't do as much DPS as the other people, but making sure we didn't get AOE feared or have healers CCd to me helped.

So I ignore the people that say a boxer in a BG is bad, or can't play. I show them through actions more than words. Look, I took BS and held it and it helped with people being able to res and get to places quicker. All done through actions, more than words.

Don't try to explain to others what you can do and why you want to do it. They might never understand. Show them what you can do. For me, it is doing things like they should be done. Look, I always use totems and try to maximize the benefits. Look, I always CC and never have to be asked, take much time doing it and know which mobs to do it on. Look, I can run flags in WSG (or new one) due to ghost wolf and know how to get away from people (earth bind or frostshock). Look, I have too much gold, so I can get the track human food (something like burnt worg haunch) so I can see people coming and call out incoming or which way a person/group is heading. Look, I am willing to fill in as a healer, even dual healers so people won't die (flag carrier), to keep a tank up (boss fight or big guy in PVP), or to just fill in a group healing situation (BG PVP, TB/WG PVP or raid). Look, I have too much money IRL, so I am willing to pay for the vent server ($70 per year isn't that much when you pay $75 per month for chars).

Maybe don't worry about the people that don't want you, pay attention to the people that do. People have seen boxers in action, find the people that like it and gravitate toward them.

I completely agree. However - with the risk of getting flamed - a huge part boxers I've encountered in bg's are plain bad and have no clue about those things. That might be just me, but I run tons of random battlegrounds solo, and besides the odd boxer who knows what he is doing, they are mostly handicapping the team. Boxers like that, who leave a flag to pick up 2 of there toons that died at a GY far away, who run around in crap/wrong gear, who refuse to follow any bg objectives, and who tend to just plain suck at playing their class, well those boxers cause a lot of bad reputation and are pissing people off.

The most annoying thing I've run across as a boxer doing battlegrounds is the people that follow you around irregardless of what's happening in the battle. That loses a lot of games. Even when trying to explain before the battle begins that you are 1/2 or 1/3 of the team and not to tag along, doesn't seem to get through to a lot of people.

I think I've only ever randomly encountered another multi-boxer once before, and it was in AV so it was really hard to judge what they were doing. I normally just play with the people from my realm, they're a great bunch.

There was one time back in Wrath that was great, trying to control AB matches to help a rogue named Rizer get "We had it all along *cough*", the achievement where you win by only 10 points. The first match went so well we even doubled down on the achievements attempts the second time and we went for both the above and "Resilient Victory". We got the latter, but the 10 point achievement eluded us by 10 points because the single PuG warlock fear-bombed the opposing team as we were letting them take a flag at the end. Oh well, still a good time, some pictures below of the shenanigans.

Ouch, that first picture. Not a single death on our side of the board. It's got to be tough joining a battleground and not being able to kill a single person on the opposing team.

I'm not sure you can really peg somebody for not having the greatest gear in a battleground though. Everybody has to start somewhere, and if you're aspiring to PvP, battlegrounds is the easy grind to gear the fastest. Wrong gear on the other hand, there's no excuse for that.

Most people I've spoken to about boxing are simply curious about how it's done, I've had very few negative reactions (to which I'd respond that it isn't breaking any Blizzard rules and directed them to the o-boards as there were quite a few boxing threads up at that time). I tend to level through questing though so I don't really meet that many people out and about. I've had some follow me around for a while and some that will try to tag my target, I guess those ones assume I'm a bot.

I've had someone in a pug (whilst playing solo) threaten to find out where I live and stab me, some people are simply rude and/or narrow-minded. No matter how much evidence or logical argument you provide them with they will not accept anything other than their own view point as correct. There are plenty of nice players out there though and hopefully you'll be able to find a guild with more mature players to park your team in.

Report people like this for sure, threats of violence against you will very likely get them at least a 3 day ban.... Which would make the point about their behavior far stronger than anything you could say to them. I lost my temper at a hater one day, reported them for what they said to me, and ended up with an official warning on MY account for what I had said to them. So now I say nothing to haters, nothing at all. And report them if they say anything even remotely threatening to me about what I'm doing.

Beh, that just adds work for the poor GMs. They don't need that, I'm sure they wade through enough garbage tickets in the run of a day. It has got to be mind numbing for them.
