EverQuest group makeup suggestion

Hey everyone,

Been multiboxing for a while in eq2 back when I was playing it but about to go back now to where it all started for me in eq1, been quite a while so very rusty on the classes when it comes to the group make ups.

Was considering something like this (got four accounts currently but might add two more)

SK
Bard
Wizard
Wizard

or

SK
Bard
Wizard
Druid

The druid instead of the second wizard is depending on the downtime without a healer, got a friend who's a cleric at a bit higher levels so basically trying to get there without having a cleric in the group.

Any suggestions? Not much of a fan of the pet classes would probably have switched out the SK for a necro then and the wizards for mages like others have been playing when reading other threads.

Might add a fifth account for a chanter as well.

Are you starting on one of the progression servers? If yes then you want a healer. If you are not then just get a healing merc when you can and you are good to go with the wizards. I would suggest swapping one to a mage though but then I am a soft spot for mages.

Nah, I'm going onto one of the regular ones where a friend's playing and I have a couple of old characters on to twink my group out a bit, totally forgot about the mercs so thanks for reminding me.

I might try a mage, I usually just end up shouting at my pets for fighting in the wrong place or pulling adds so that's why I've never been good with pet classes hehe

Thanks for the suggestions, really want to get a chanter in there as well but since the bard class sounded right up my alley at later levels I really want to have one of them so I can group up with friends at higher level as a bard.

Ended up with a maybe not too optimal group:

Bard
Enc
Wizard

Really nice for buffs though hehe, reminds me a bit of my old eq2 box group of SK, Dirge, Troub, Illu, Warlock + friend healing.
