Grid and Party Monitoring?

When I am configuring my UI or an addon...
I use mouse repeater and key repeater on, with key maps off.

That way, everything is absolutely identical on all screens.

I've tried using this for my GridCustomLayout but it does not work, it seems to ignore the order of toons I put it in and simply orders them alphabetically, without a Lua error. I have the latest versions of all addons. Anyone know what's going wrong?

My grid ordering is showing Jenzala, Jenzalu, Jenzula, Jenzuli, Jenzulu which is alphabetical and not what I'm looking for.

I would say if you don't want sorting by name "..sortMethod = "NAME"" should not be used. Since it states - sort by name.

Not sure what you should put there in stead. Apparently the default sort order is INDEX so just leaving "sortMethod = "NAME"" out might give you the result your looking for.... but again i'm not sure what INDEX refers to...

But have a look at the Grid Custom layout page on curse.com
All the attributes i listed there....

my toon names starting tank to healer in the order i log in
Bigbosstank Frelann Crem Zenin Krissa Krissa is my healer priest

so in my grid new layout how would this go to work and where name is would that be name of my team or is it name

An alphabetical sort would get you:
Bigbosstank
Crem
Frelann
Krissa
Zenin

Beyond an alphabetical sort, I'm not sure how to have the names in exactly the same order on every window.
Name is an easy sort.

well so far this method has worked i have not closed the team out yet.
