No, and he is in blues (my healer that is, for both 3's and 5's)

In 5s, my Paladin Partner gets CCed to hell and is unable to heal very well.

They usually focus-CC on him while they focus-fire on one of my toons.

Perhaps my partner isn't that good or maybe I should do more to protect him.

Any advice in this area? Should be be max distance from my team or right on top?

Chains melee on top of him, DG warriors off. Make sure he uses his aura mastery and bubble defensively. Pick the right hammer target for the kill. Have a desecration build so its harder for people to catch up to your paladin. If your paladin needs to LOS like a mofo just have him pop freedom + holy radiance and get behind a pillar. Hand of sacrifice during bladestorm or to make sure he doesn't get sapped at the beginning of a game.
